That's something the people of fandom thoughts, I used to not like this arc too but this arc was actually good, the filler episodes i think made some people bore of this season but diagon arc itself gave us some very quality episodes i loved old george, loved the concept, plots, the characterizations other than one specific guy😑 but especially the one episode which is very underrated make me alone love this story arc even tho the production of OV holds back the last episodes it was still good in many ways

If you noticed, Ben actually mentionned the Forever King at the start. So up to this point we have four different factions with different goals:
- The Forever king and Enoch's faction collected alien technology and used it to gain power for themselves.
- King Patrick's faction are the dragon hunters.
- Sir Cyrus' faction in this episode claims to be the original faction which follows the way of the original knights, yet they have no idea what they're dealing with.
- Sir Urien's faction eh...They had a tank...and got beaten by rath. Yeah maybe they're not all that unique.
Although, honestly, I think what hurts the forever knight is how much they were used as filler villains. In OS, you had basic crooks and thiefs, but considering that ben and the team are plumbers now, you had to show them dealing with threats of their level on a daily basis. After the highbreed arc, the knights were the only faction who could fill that role.
I won't spoil much, but this arc give them the spotlight once again, even though they're different from OS.

The start of this season's main baddy's timeline! An old enemy returns and pulls a fricken Slade and this is just an amazing storyline. There will of course be filler episodes, but this is the beginning

Like with a lot of things from Classic, the Alien Force writers retconned the Forever Knights either through misinterpretation or they just wanted to change them, this is the episode that finally addresses the inconsistencies with the Forever Knights justifying them but establishing that there are different factions with different motivations, a bit of clever writing on the part of the UAF team.
Also if memory serves this is the first time Ben has fought a straight up demon, not as impressive as fighting a death god from Classic but it something new.
