I just installed the RSNAV S3, and I followed the instructions but it is not clear how to make the original reverse camera be detected and shown on the screen. I am currently getting a black screen when in reverse. (On page 9 of the instructions it mentions about the 3rd pin from the right side) but it is not clear what I am doing with it. Thanks
Hello Kim, I hope you are well. I cant seem to get music to play from my rsnav. The only sound that plays is the clicking sound when i touch the interface and different apps. Any idea on what could be wrong, should i update something?
I have an Audi Q5 (8R, 2010, LHD). I don't have MMI port but I do have external audio 3.5mm jack. The quality of audio via the external jack has never been good. My query is: Does RSNAV S3 use that jack for sound (I am worried that sound quality may not be good due to the bad sound quality in my Q5)? Appreciate your answer.
Sharad Sharma no problem, as far as I know it just serves as a ‘dummy plug’ you can have something plugged into it just so the car detects audio is ‘coming from there’ but it’s really not. You can plug in an 3.5mm cable that leads to nothing just so the car can detect it
So change to external audio only if playing HD video, UA-cam etc by the screen it self! Also make sure you have audi mmi cable!! Others fit!, but won't sound!, has to be a audi mmi cable.
