STEP BY STEP AQUASCAPE DUTCHSTYLE
When the lights are on, plants will photosynthesize and emit oxygen (O2), WHILE when the lights are off, the plants will emit CO2.
The color of plants is influenced by the camera lens and lighting.
My source of CO2
1. From fish inhalation
2. When the lights are off (Dark) the plants emit CO2
3. Skimmers also suck up CO2 elements from the outside air
4. When changing water (Water Change), new water contains CO2 (pearling plants for 2-3 days)
Plant leaves with chlorophyll require CO2 for photosynthesis (cooking food), while the roots that function to absorb nutrients and distribute them to leaves require O2 oxygen to grow vines.
Aerobic Substrate Conditions (Full of Oxygen) will greatly assist in the development and growth of plant roots.
Water change is erratic, sometimes 3 days, 4 days, sometimes 7 days just changing water.
The lamp uses 2 factory lamps, (26 watts and 15 watts), on the 72nd day the 15 watt lamp turns off, then it is replaced with a 13Watt Philip LED lamp. The duration of the lamp is about 12 hours more,

Charcoal absorbs nutrients and keep them available where the plants need them at the roots, thats why she mixed it with the substrate...

Everyone ask how to make DIY soil, but Yulia wont tell. Let me guess. Charcoal is alkaline to neutralize PH. But why neutralize PH?. So it can only come from the DIY soil, very high in in organic content. Under water, the organic content decay to give acidic water. So that why you have charcoal. To prevent non-aerobic decay giving smelly sulfide gas bubbles, the DIY soil will need to be burnt, leaving charcoal like organic content. But this method non sustainable, that why you need very frequent water change of more than 50% 2 to 3 times a week. This method only good for very short term display.

Replanting cuttings from what are often called "stem plants" in aquariums is an easy way to propagate more of that species. The plant you cut produces side shoots and becomes bushier, and the part you replant roots to become a new plant. It's a form of vegetative propagation
