Sorry, that’s not how God works… Simple denying Jesus in front of others just to not make people feel uncomfortable, it is not acceptable to God. Even though if things look like good, it doesn’t mean necessarily they are… evildisguise himself as light, but it is dark. Evil main purpose is for us to deny Jesus and evil is very smart and meticulous to influence us to. God would not use a demon disguised of an angel for His purposes. Blessings
@armandolopez5888 God allowed or permitted Satan to afflict Job. God allowed the evil Nebuchadnezzar to lead Judah into 70 years of captivity for the purpose of ridding Israel of their pagan idolatry. There are many other examples I can give. So there goes your argument.
The demons also believe in God, in Jesus, and Satan appears as an angel of light. Additionally, of there is unrepented sin in our life, our prayers are not heard.
I agree with you 100 percent on what your saying..."A God of our own understanding.".. Proverbs 3:5-6 says To Lean Not on your Own Understanding...that jumped up at me..that's when I knew it was a cult and it was Idolatry..that violates the 1st and 2 commandments..if you keep saying your an Alcoholic..your gonna become what you think in your heart..the power of Life and death lie in the tongue.

Good for you! Praise God. I’d like to share that I had been in Al-Anon for years. It helped me when I thought I had no one but over the years I found it to be empty. This preacher makes a good point. I’m happy for you to have accepted the gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior.
In my experience the people taking the most relentless pot-shots at AA are folks that tried AA, but hadn't hit bottom yet. So they need to rationalize, or justify why they relapsed. 89 years say otherwise, though. 89 years, 172 countries, and over 60 translations say otherwise. In 2035 we'll celebrate 100 years of 12-Step recovery. First Century 12-Step Recovery. Steps 1,2,3: I can't, He can, I think I'll let Him. Page 77: "Our real purpose is to fit ourselves to be of maximum service to God and the people about us." How can any of that be bad, unless you're a self-righteous prick?

Jesus the Way to the Father John 14:5,6 5Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” 6Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7If you really know me, you will know me b my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”
The gospel is for everyone. Jesus came to save us all because there is not one righteous person on earth due to our sun nature. All we have to do is believe in Jesus. It matters what you believe. The Bible is the holy and inspired word of God. God would not leave us here without direction. Would you drop your child off in the middle of the ocean then wish him good luck swimming back? Our Father loves us and left us his holy word. God came here as Jesus and when he was killed he left us the Holy Spirit. We don’t have to do life alone. AA helps some people but it is a placebo. True peace is found in Jesus Christ.
I must edit one thing I said. Jesus’s was not killed as in someone took his life and killed him. He freely laid his life down for us. Being God, he could have easily bounced out of the whole crucifixion scene but no, he GAVE his life for us as a covering for our sins so that we can live forever in sinless paradise. Praise God.
Uh, AA actually allows you to have a God of your own understanding, for people who are atheists or nonbelievers, it’s to get them on the path to at least believe in something bigger than themselves, and AA is spiritual, NOT RELIGIOUS!
Actually, A.A. as such did not exist until the publication of the book, Alcoholics Anonymous. For the 4 years prior to its publication, the groups did not call themselves "Alcoholics Anonymous;" they didn't really have a name for the movement. They were still, essentially, Oxford Group gatherings, referring to themselves as the Akron group, the Cleveland group, the New York group, etc. Several names had been suggested, such as The B.W. Movement, 100 Men, The Way Out, The James Group, and so on. Yes, the Bible was often used, but it wasn't official. It was only when Bill Wilson wrote the basic text and needed a title for it that the name Alcoholics Anonymous was given to the movement, but the book caused a huge controversy and revolt among the Ohio contingent vs the NYC bunch. That's another story....

To help you out as you asked, let me explain what this preacher is speaking about. AA is a cult. It puts an enigmatic “higher power” in place (a god of your own making) instead of giving glory and honor to Jesus Christ. There is a proliferation of false prophets in these end times. We are to alert each other (fellow Christian’s) to mark and avoid them. Salvation is in none other than Jesus Christ. It matters what you believe. That’s it in a nutshell.
