For me the new visor unlocking and locking system is the worst engineering idea ever. After 15 years of Arai helmets which all worked great and now three years with the rx7 I still find it cumbersome and a pain to change. Hopefully better designers work on future models
In all my years of buying Arai helmets the new visor mechanism is the worst ever. My new RX7V is impossible to change and nothing like as easy in the video. I'll never buy Arai again.
I love my Arai RX-7 but for the love of God what are they thinking with this design, a completely over engineered pain in the arse way to change a visor. My other helmet an X-lite 803 is so so so much easier to swap visors...
its pretty simple and easy when you get used to it, in certain motorsport races eg the isle of man tt during the pitstops they change the riders visor they can do it in something like 3-5 seconds. i think the reason behind it was with the old design a lot of people accidentally broke their sidepods changing the visor so they came up with this design.
What a pigs ear I’ve always worn arai rx 7 the old system was so much easier the pods on the side of my arai don’t line up with the graphics on the helmet and the stupid visor lock on the front doesn’t release the visor so lowering and lifting the visor is dangerous when riding
Grand when you get the hang off it but there was nothing wrong with the old system and it was much quicker!

It’s nowhere near as easy as this and the old system was better!
