Got theOBD LinkEx based on your recommendation and it worked great on Forscan! Did a reset on transmission for my F-150 that was clunking a bit from standstill to gas applied. Truck drives smooth now and mileage is showing improved as well. Just wanted to say thanks for the ODB overview sir.

What’s funny is when I hook up to the laptop on friends or side hustle cars with a Cord they are very impressed.
When I use Bluetooth they are less impressed, and it seems like it’s a lower value service haha. It’s like they realize they could’ve googled it and figured it out themselves 😂

Thank you for your videos, I was able to download and resister for free trail of For scan. I did it as i followed your videos and it took maybe 30 minutes to get my code. my adapter will be here tomorrow so im glad i went ahead and got all of that ready. I should had watched this video before i ordered one but the one i ordered from amazon i hope will work fine, it does the automatic switching.
You said it just throws codes when it's only on the "on" state. So do you need to start the car up to get the most accurate error codes?

I have the first one and when I open forscan it appears that the adapter does not work well for my raptor 2018 and there are options that do not appear in forscan, only 2 PCM appear
I will go wired 100%. Still don't like going wireless. I guess I am really old school.

How do you get to recalibrate front collision sensor? I leveled my truck and it threw it off.

in ForSCan I say that the odb11 is not compatible with the vehicle
2013 f150 ecoboost 3.5 ran forscan first time got this message pcm has a custom tune installed,please enter stratedgy/calibration name Factory PCM how do i find what code is in my truck.I bought this truck used and I am trying to clear a check engine light after changing faulty plugs.I went to the motorcraft site and got the original code but when I downloaded it I coulldnt even open it or anything.
i got my forscan download for the code, but i have no idea how to open it. what does it take to see the code?
Your videos are great and very informative. I have a 2003 Lincoln Navigator and a 2011 Ford Taurus SEL. My interest is mostly for diagnostics, such as misfires, etc..
The Navigator is now 20 years old. With that in mind, will ForScan take care of diagnostics for both vehicles?

I have the ohp ELMconfig adapter and I have a bunch of modules that say unable to read dtc. Any idea what I can do to get it to work?

The ELM 327 did not work on my 2019 f150 XLT. I got a message saying it was the wrong adapter for my vehicle and all functions may not work. It worked until I got to the module I needed to open to enable my trailer brake controller. It wouldn’t open the module. 😮

Have the same OBDII adapter you are using (manual switch) but cannot get the drivers to load to my computer (Windows 10). Of course when I try to hook it up to my 2022 F150 it says "no adapter found". Any ideas? Thanks

I am not sure. Sometimes it takes a bot for them to register.
Do you have any info about fis the engine and idle HRS, because the dealer change the truck cluster but they do not transfer the engine and idle hrs.

I actually use my els27 all the time. I have had no issues at all
Based on the driver installed, the "counterfeit warning" is for the FTDI (this is the manufacturer) chip that converts the USB to serial for the ODB chip. There was a big kerfluffle a few years ago when FTDI changed their driver to look for counterfeit chips and ended up getting a lot of false positives on genuine FTDI chips. This earned them a big black eye in the Arduino community. Nothing to do with the ODB chip that actually talks to the car.

I have a problem forscan is telling me it “NO ADAPTER FOUND “ I have everything downloaded plus the USB driver link downloaded but for some reason forscan will still not read adapter and I have the same adapter/wire as you in the video with the switch

Yes this is Robert I've got a 2012 Ford f150 4-wheel drive I've got the foreskin deal but now when I hook it up it's got a bunch of errors on it and we can't seem to get them off it won't let us run no self diagnostic check on it if you have any answers for me I sure would appreciate it so how to get the arrows off

Yes it is. All you are doing is changing settings in the modules. Nothing with the ECU

How do I connect my OBD Link MX + to talk to my windows10 Laptop. I bought this with the hope that I would recalibrate my back up camera and make other cool changes. I got my activation code in Forscan but it keep saying adapter cant be found.
Did you connect the adapter to the PC first?

I would have purchased the wired adapter then. I know you need to first connect it via Bluetooth before anything will work

That is strange. Can you select "no" as an option? What does it tell you then?
@@AutoDad it goes to demo mode at first then that's what it says. And it gives me to options like it wast different persons key. I was wonder it I should uninstall the key and redo it. I have no clue.
I would just switch it out of demo mode and it should be fine

Should be recommended by Forescan I have read.
I use 2021 drivers and 2022 firmware for vLinker FS.
unfortunately you have to go into device manager in windows to update drivers manually.
