The EU has launched an investigation into the legality of selling games as a product then taking them away. As Ubi has half it's business inside the EU I'd say they're getting ahead of the situation before they get sued.
EA Sports also ever had the same problem like Ubisoft 5 years ago.

@@Arto300-yn5fv To be fair i think the game just wasnt developed for it. I also think companies have a hard time justifying servers up for low played games with no monotization. I'd say you'd start losing money. I think they should just do peer to peer but then that just turns into a wasteland of cheaters. Offline is nice but ehh they have their reasons is all im saying. They wouldnt wanna look bad on purpose.

i played the game , haven't faced any crashes . But the game is not great . forza is far far better . But for 1 dollar, its a no-brainer
This game doesn't try to be forza. I own the great 3(NFS Heat, FH4, TC2) and have had the most arcadey fun in this game. The others have their own style but they do NOT beat this game in terms of how arcadey it is. Yes the game has issues here and there like other games but you have not nearly played enough to see how much fun you can have in this game. This is the one racing game I consistently go back to for short or long sessions even though Heat and Forza Horizon 4 are "better" games
@@MultiAwsome7 Exactly. If everything is like FH then what's the point of playing other games if they are the same, TC2 is not perfect in term of realism so is forza gameplay that can only play as Cars and not plane, boat or even a bike

You can't drive across the entire USA map in Forza though.
Forza looks great and has good physics, but the map gets boring after a week since there's nothing new to explore. In The Crew 2, you keep discovering new things because of how big the map is

I got it for 0.19 $ (0.20 epic rewards so total is 0.39 $ in my region).
Bought it on steam, linked accounts with ubisoft and the game works perfectly.
NOT WORTH EVEN FOR FREE! Even for free The Crew 1 I didn't open/play it on both Uplay and Epic Games store, I only claimed them for dumpster games collection.
Ubisofts stokes are also 98% off
Bought it on Steam. It won't even launch. Also, the cd key isn't present on Steam, so I can't input that when Uplay asked for the activation key.
I could not either, but you can skip that. Some other people say it works for them on Steam, but still doesnt work for us either.
@@ShouldYouPlayIt I had the same issue & it sounds weird, but I went into Windows Network settings & did a network reset, it'll make you restart your PC but it's worked for me everytime since.

I never buy any The Crew game ever again! Ubisoft robs your money and than let you down empty handed! That's why I never going to buy any Ubisoft game anymore!
Understandable, Ubisoft definitly has done more misteps recently, but at least they are trying to listen to people and fix what they can.

It does work for me, never crashed. If you have intel cpu, that may be the reason. Intel cpus lately have been prone to crashes with some games. I have one from amd

True online experience means interaction with different people around the world (both randoms & friends).
That's even more applicable to GTA Online where the only goal is to show off your cars & properties to other players.

THE CREW 2 & THE CREW MOTORFEST since it now has Offline Mode, its absolutely very well worth to play. Ubisoft killing THE CREW series with its Online Only habit turned out to be a very bad mistake that Ubisoft never gonna recover from.
It works but the server disconnection is a really big problem I started the campaign and it just started disconnecting and the game said you disconnected then after that it said we are performing a maintenance

Usually with Ubisoft games, if it has crashing or loading issues, you can keep verifying the game files multiple times until you get the message saying that everything is okay.

Easy fix to fix the crashes, log into ubisoft using chrome or edge then remove your linked steam account from your ubisoft account. Then load the game again and should be fixed!!!

I buy the crew 2 today on steam and it working no crashes and the game is only 60fps limit i hope in offline mode can unlocked the fps.
I came here to say this. Because I've been dying to say this. If you pay for something, you should own it until you die. Revoking people from playing anything they paid for should be a criminal act. 🤷🏽
Games should always have an offline mode. I mean this isn't the first time games that had digital versions and they've been taken away. This is not new. But it's nice to see more people saying something.

if games like this that dont need to even be online werent then there wouldnt be a need to worry about servers and stuff. i was just playing both Crew2 and NBA2K the other day and neither one of those games need to be always online. i never once played either of those games with another person. so many games now have this permanently online aspect to them for no reason. just give people the option to play online like in the past and leave single player games out of the online servers.

short answer to the title, both titles will have their servers shut down at some point, however will have an offline patch provided to preserve them, and yes, the crew 2 is VERY worth getting, even if it wasnt a dollar, you get a shit ton of content for the price.

I just bought The Crew 2 today after i saw it on sale for 1$. I did have some interest in these games for a long time but didn't bother picking it up until now because it's a live service game,but now that it's on sale and have an offline mode on the way i decided to try it. Im having so much fun with the game so far, 1$ for this is a robbery lmao and it's very rare for me to say that about any of Ubisoft's games. I hope the offline mode will come soon so i can have access to this game forever.

@@silver_YTfps Im in Asia, and i can play just fine, nothing wrong with the multiplayer on both PC and PS5. There is also an offline update on the way so any problem you might have with multiplayer will be gone by then.

@@ShouldYouPlayIt 😟I have to think very hard to allocate such large disk space for a single game. If I like a race game it will stay installed for a long time, unlike action rpg which I uninstalled right away after finish. Maybe if there's texture compression mod that can make it smaller?😮💨
I'm still kinda hesitant to buy crew 2 because it's kinda boring based on the reviews. I'm choosing which to buy, crew 2 or chocolate?
I mean it's only a dollar so you don't really lose anything. That's like buying a chocolate bar from a store and eating it right away. You won't even notice it unless your financial situation isn't good.
Personally, I saw this as an opportunity to get some relatively easy gamerscore and the game is alright but most might lose their interest in a few hours due to the game having quite repetitive missions. But even if you only play it for an hour or two, I'd still say it's worth more than that "chocolate bar." The decision is yours, of course. _😊_
@@benkenobi3364 I'm hesitant because it's Ubisoft. I have a hunch that this game will be delisted on Steam in the next year. The Crew 1 controversy also add to that.. I'm kinda afraid they'll take away my Division 2 and Breakpoint at some point because they're a Live service games.
@@christopherjohnferrer3771 Worst case scenario it gets delisted: you would still have lots of time to experience it for one dollar. They did promise an offline mode for that game so it's not going anywhere anytime soon. I don't trust Ubisoft much anymore either after seeing what Star Wars Outlaws turned out to be (never bought that game and probably never will) and the trailer for the newest "Assassin's Creed" so I do understand your concerns.

Looking at ubisoft current state I am and will not buy there games anymore I am already regretting buying there 2 games which is r6 and for honor 4 years ago both are going down from fun perspective.
