Wow... this brings back many memories of my dad and I pulling one just like it out of a field in NW Missouri. My dad is no longer with me but I’ve been slowly (after many setbacks) trying to finish his dream. Some day soon “Jezebel” will be on the road again.
Do one thing a day and it will get done. - not my wisdom, but a professional mechanic told me that and after a year, I did have that project running ! Worked on it as often as I could. Good luck.
Honestly that patina and chrome is just gorgeous, only thing I'd ever do to it is restore and maintain the engine and tires, something about a caddy like that, that isn't chopped all to hell is very nice.
Think you call that a steal ! A lot of car for a tiny amount of money ! That must be one of the first OHV V8 engines ? l guess they had to lead by example. Although l'm the kind of guy that restores everything this needs a gentle flat down and then a coat of lacquer. Look forward to seeing more of this monster and l could see your father had that mischievous glint in his eye !😈😈 Great stuff guys ! Take care and stay safe.
I am still a prewar lover, but this land yacht floats my boat. Dig the curves on this big old girl. Nice find. Suggest off white paint and mint green interior
My dad's first car in 1963. Drove like a dream. But 1 liter of petrol for 3 kilometers was far above the family budget in the Netherlands during these times.
Shame the Original Caddy engine is gone.. No Rat Rod.. That game is played out..Great cruiser that would make..
Return it to it's original glory, make it factory new. Change nothing!!!

Keep at it, Ryan! Hopfully Jezebel will be cruising again soon! 🙌

Coming soon!

Agreed, and thanks! 👍
I saw a pale yellow 53 and it was pretty.
Well, nothing to do on that caddy,,, waste of time, go find something that needs workin’ on.... 😂 she’s beautiful, man!
Haha, thanks!!
He'll go belly up about half way into the restoration.
Next time , stay in the car and get out when you back it off the trailer?
Car and video is good --- but the 'musak' is poor
Absolutely the best!
And it's gonna be turned into a rat rod or a lowrider.
My neighbor is selling me one of these cars for $500 I’m excited to work on it!
Awesome!
Oops..no original motor. Also sans

Love how they keep the chrome intact even in this derelict style.
Viva skirts ! Please no rat rod.

Nice find!
Thanks!
I think I got tail lights for it.
I hope it gets restored
I would pay 15k to have it in the netherlands and drive it as is. But I don't have the money and place for it. :(
