I think part of her died when Michael Todd died - and then when Richard Burton died, I think it took so much out of her that she was completely changed.

I'm glad she and Richard Burton got together, they were meant for each other.. both beyond gorgeous with eyes to die for. I only wish Liz could have stayed with Richard till the end, it's heartbreaking 💔 I feel her pain that he was the love of her life. They're reunited now though, God bless them both xx
Richard had embraced sobriety, she had not so they were doomed to flame out. I think everyone has at least one love in their life that it is just so intense that there is nothing but extremes. Things are either really lousy or really great, neither person can just accept "okay" . I've been there and it's just hell.
I love Liz Taylor. She is the Queen of Cinema. Richard is dynamic, strong and very well spoken. He is intoxicating. What a presence and a Voice. Both together is like great chemistry on screen. In real life Liz and Richard had real class. She was a young beauty and I think one of the most beautiful young women in the world. She had the respect of the Studio System which hailed her as a great actress. Virginia Woolf is one of the best performances I have ever seen by all 4 actors.
I think they were plainly both devastated at the [twice] destruction of their marriage and life together. ... mostly to be blamed on Richard's wreckless & out of control drinking problem. Elizabeth was also obviously devastated by Burton's early demise at age 58. I think she really held onto a hope and torch flame for seeing a THIRD marriage happen. It was that kind of glorious & addictive romantic love. of course, it's a form of divine madness.

I think that Elizabeth is so right when she says that you can love someone too much.........such a powerful and deep love can make you feel almost crazy. Mike Todd's death left her shattered.....and yet it seems that she and Richard were absolutely destined to be together. It must have been very hard for the other loves in both of their lives, especially Richard's wife Sally Hay, who he was married to when he died........I am sure that Richard (and Elizabeth) DID love the other people in their lives.....BUT.....their deep soul connection meant that for him, there could only ever be Elizabeth and for her there could only ever be Richard. A truly beautiful love story.....I so hope they are together now.

A lot of people talk about Mike’s importance in her life but just like Clark Gable and Carole Lombard, I’m pretty sure the only reason he remained so important to her was because his untimely death glorified him in her memory. And just like Clarke and Carole, it was entirely possible they wouldn’t have worked out in the long term. Richard on the other hand was with her long enough for her to get to thoroughly know the good and the bad and accept all of it.

Aaaahummm..... Two loves ? She was really unsure with herself? unsure with the mean she married cause it would just end up in a divorce ...... I got sick already with Liz and Dick !!!! Many people have already portrayed Liz and Dick ...... The world wants something new !!!! Why not Liz and Mike !!!! Or perhaps not romance just friendship like Liz and Monty which may show there great friendship and the day lLiz saved Monty from the crash !!!! I'm just saying ......
Mr. Burton dumped Ms. Taylor twice for much younger women. He loved Ms. Taylor as she was in her thirties, but it is ridiculous to think he would want to get back with her when she was in her fifties, or older.
You're a strange one and you have no logic or vision
