I just got 4 of the DS18 PRO-X6.4BM 6.5” midrange speakers and a set of front door speaker pods for my Suburban and I can’t wait to get everything installed to see how it sounds.
I'm running all DS18 from top to bottom. 2 Pro zt6 6.5s, 4 Pro zt8s on a EXL-P2000x4,6 Zxi10s on a Hooligan 8k backed by 29ah Scib bank by Trunk Thunder Lithium. DS18 TAKING OVER!!!
I just got a 96ah headway bank and I have a Superbeast coming in tomorrow. I’m wondering if I can just make another 96ah bank out of the Superbeast and connect them together or if it would be better to just use all of the cells to make one 192ah bank and if you have any advice on headways ?
@ so would I have to connect the buss bars together with another bar of some kind or just wire it all into my system like normal batteries is what I really meant ? Also what about using Ultra Capacitors with the headways ?
@@JonesCoWoodworks you can do either connecting the bars OR wire em like batteries, and yes you can add caps to them. just remember ALL the cells need to be ballanced together and read the same voltage VERY IMPORTANT.
Dampening factor isn't that important for Subwoofers, even in an SQ setup. Anyone that thinks otherwise, don't understand how negligible dampening factor over 100 is. Anything over 100 isn't noticeable in a subwoofer. It's probably the most misunderstood spec for an amplifier. There's tons of videos on UA-cam of people proving this. Look up RawCat's video on Dampening Factor. There's a reason most companies don't even list the Dampening Factor of their amps. DS18 isn't special with 400. Tons of amps you're not even aware of, even cookie cutter Chinese amps, have DF of 300-400. It's a spec that means very little, but is overhyped in importance. You can't hear a difference in over 100. It's physically impossible.
youre sort of right, the AMps electrical damping isnt always audible. the mechanical damping of the spider, enclosure, and such will USUALLY do the job. BUT if you play the sub in an oversize box, or IB, a high Damping factor in an amp will make a large difference.

Nice! Those are beasts.
@ I was really surprised by how big the magnets are on them. They are rated at 250 watts rms so they should be great.

Nice, you're really going all in on the brand!
I always like high damping from the old PPI pro mos to Salt and other Korean, even Alpine JL DS 18 even lists it on ZR amps 220
yea the old alpines had good damping

You can do either, just make sure all the cells in both banks are balanced together

@ oh yeah I have seen enough videos on that topic to know it’s very important. Thanks for the info though and I’ll let you know how it goes.
7.4
lol, nice guess!
I think it will be bout 7900 watts at half ohm😮
would have been a solid guess for me too......but
@@CarAudioEnthusiasts I was a little off 😆 🤣
