What printer are you using? Also, are you using dye ink or pigment ink? I heard that pigment ink is waterproof.

I have a Canon Pixma TS5020. It's just the standard inkjet ink.

Thank you for all of the tips. Have you seen self laminating sheets that already have minor scratches on them? Do you know if that's just how self laminating sheets look? Or is there a self laminating sheet brand you can recommend that looks clear, shiny, with no scratches on them?

Hmm... to be honest, I don't know if you'll find laminating sheets that aren't slightly scratched, since that could happen during any process of it being manufactured or to you using it. I've come to accept that sometimes I just have to accept those kinds of "problems" when it comes to handmaking products. Most of the time, I've found that my customers don't mind those things as much as me. If I ever find any like that, I'll definitely let you know!

@@MayYangArt This is good to know. I was very concerned that people would mind it. I agree that handmaking things comes with minor flaws that we have to accept. I don't mind as a buyer myself and there's probably more people thinking the same way. Thanks for the feedback 😀

Thanks for sharing this is super helpful 😁Would you recommend cutting vinyl stickers by hand if we are only making small quanities for fun? Would the self laminate make it diffcult to cut with scissors?

You're welcome! I'm glad that it was useful! Yes, you can definitely just cut stickers by hand. That is how most sticker shop owners start off, including me haha. Cutting stickers with self laminate should be easy since it still allows the sticker to be flexible. On the other hand, the ones using the laminating pouches are difficult to cut.
