As far as i am aware, 'Acid Jazz' was a term used to describe people who were in to the rave scene in the UK (Acid House) but preferred jazzy music rather than house music.
Acid jazz is what those of us that could produce beats and play keyboards but couldn't really perform would produce back in the early 2000s. But Jamiroquai is on another level obviously and I highly encourage you to check out their live performances
