Guys thank You for all the kind words on this video . I have about 35 hours in editing and putting together this one . It turned out well , and I’m so happy it may help some folks .
I've recently discovered Swampfox scopes and wondered if you've ever reviewed them? Would love to see a review of the SWAMPFOX OPTICS KENTUCKY LONG PRECISION 3-18X50 RIFLE SCOPE.
Thanks for the effort you put in to educating us. If not for you..most of us wouldve mounted a turd on our rifles.....
youre a joke, you claim to be honest about scopes, yet you have definitely been sponsored and bribed by the bigger brands to promote their rip-off scopes...for example the comments you made about UTG Leapers is the biggest pile of blind fat bastard bullshit ive ever heard....Tried and tested them scopes and they are extremely accurate, crisp image, clear reticle, easy to use, robust, superb return on zero, and all for UNDER $200. So be honest and stop saying that you are impartial and honest
Haven't had a chance to test if it holds zero, but mounts just fine and has nice clear glass. Centered vertically true to a plumb line with the crosshairs which is always a plus! It's a great ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxc4K63Fd5LglDMObu7-Bgapxp_ef0W8hE scope. There's no parallax adjustment or focus ring, so may be limited to 3-7x, have to see how it is on the range. Also be aware that the rings are "look through" so you can still use irons, but they are really tall if you only intend to use the optics. On a 22LR no biggie since I'm not shooting competitions or worried about a hard cheek press. Will boresight and range test, if all goes well, I'll leave it at that!
I have come to truly appreciate your no-bullshit presentation while still having genuine humor and engagement.
The world needs more like you Joe! Absolutely love your content and find your research thorough and hard to dispute. Top notch sir!
Always honest, no bs reviews leaving the viewer to make their own choice 👍
Thanks for this list! 😊
Another excellent video Joe! Thank you for sharing it with us.
This is the video I have been waiting for! Thanks Joe!
Great video Joe. Straight forward and right into the meat of what a lot of us want. Thank you for your time in doing these good sir.
Thanks for what you've been doing. It's helped me to figure what to buy for my first scope. I appreciate all your efforts.
What a great video, thanks Joe!
Always enjoy watching these videos
Thank you! Helpful recommendations at all price ranges! :)
I have Meopta Optika6 2.5-15x44 without the cool light changing reticle and the glass is phenomenal. Also have a Optika6 4.6-27x50 for a target /hunting gun. Almost chose the $500 street price 3-9x40 from Meopta for my hunting guns as they were so lightweight. My Arken SH-4 Gen 2 6-24x50 is on my 22-250 varmint gun.
I put a Optica 6 4.5x27x42 on my 30 06 and Absolutely love that thing. Well worth every penny
From bottom up and the honorable mentions. I agree with your list and recommends. Great work Cyclops!🎩♠️☯️
Thanks for the Leica mention; now, I have a scope to save up for. That 2-7 x 32 Hawke is going on order, this weekend! Have a good one, Joe.
Grace and Peace 😊
I have three of these, the Vortex, the Leupold and the Burris. Really happy with all three.
On my 1970 Carl Gustaf .270 i have a Swarovski X5i 3.5x18x44. Happy with this classic combination. Thanks for the great videos. I appreciate your work..
Always good info, Brother Joe. Some interesting choices.
A lot of scopes I have never looked through. 👍🇺🇲🤙✌
Really happy I found your channel! Perfect timing!
Thank You
Awesome review.
I am so glad you mentioned the whiskey 3 scope. It is the best scope for the money that I have tried.
I scored a Whiskey3 scope w/rings for $40 on CL its a 4-12 with adj. parallax. Came in a hard pistol case too. I got $20 for the rings on eBay and my Ruger SR22 loves it's new SIG case !!
Swarovski Z5 3.5-18x44 is my pick 👌
Have a good weekend joe.
Thx for the vid, glad to see a really good 2x7 for us rimfire hunters
Very nice, very interesting list! Thanks so much for putting this together.
Thank You
A load of awesome scopes there Joe, most of them more than I'd need on my sub 12 ft lb air rifles hunting out to 50 yards here in the UK.... but still love to watch your reviews on them 👍👍
Another awesome honest review joe, thanks for the hard work. You never let us down
Thanks for that
Spot on!
I was hunting with exposed turrets scope for four years. Big mistake. I am not surprised that Joe (as knowledgeable as He is) mentioned that in His first sentence. Thank you.
They all look like nice scopes. Thanks for the info and video.
Well done my friend! I can't argue with any of your choices.
Check out the Athlon Midas HMR HD 2.5 - 15. For the price, a great hunting scope. Keep up the great work Joe.
Where the Hell have you been all my life!!! Seriously, I was just searching around for more input on the Arken scopes and came across your channel..! Dude, I LOVE the way you produce your videos! I started chuckling from the start of your Arken video and didn't stop till you were through! So glad I found a "no bullshit" reviewer! You got another sub and an avid watcher!
Man thanks a lot for that It made my day. As you can probably tell I really get a kick out of doing this
Thanks Clops!! Purchased that meopta based on this video!! Coming in soon
You are gonna LOVE IT
Yo Joe...Another great very helpful vid...Ive now discovered some scopes I never heard of that
are crazy cool! Think I might try a Meopta looks badass!
Thanx & Merry Christmas to U & Urs
Ross
Just subscribed keep up the great reviews.
Great review Joe.
Nice review thank you for sharing Tom LI NY
Appreciate your time !!!
Thank you
Love my Bushnell 3-9, sucker holds zero and it's pretty beat up after 7 years.
Thank you sir..
There a few there that I could use on this list. Why only a couple, I have no need for a hunting scope with over a 40mm objective.
In over 40 years of big game hunting I can not remember needing more.
Even with a 1980’s Weaver 3x9 40mm at night I shot a beaver in a corn field with out the aid of a light. When I went to retrieve it out of the corn field I tripped on it as it was so dam dark.
Another great one Joe
Thanks Jack
Home run video again Joe. Meopta is a great scope company. I've got a Meostar 2.5-15×56 and the glass is incredible. It's an older scope, but I'll put that scope glass up against scopes that are well over 2k. The scope is on a 7mm weatherby mag, and I dont know why I don't use that gun more.
Meopta is incredible
i just picked up a Leopold 1.5-4 freedom gotta love the made in america
Joe you really killed it in this video. This is amazing content and why I watch you.
Thank you SO MUCH !! A lotta time went into this video
Dam good video Big Joe 👊👍
I have watched a few of your videos man and They are great videos! I am now a subscriber, thank you
Thank You
Great video! Interesting list to say the least. Got to make up my mind now on what to put on my tikka.🤔 Was going to go with the tract toric 1 inch hunting scope with a bdc reticle but that burris looks like a good alternative. Thanks for making the decision easy Joe!😆
Can't go wrong with Burris.
I recently found a great sale price on 3-9x50 Fullfield E1 SFP Plex reticle (simple crosshair) for $155 from sports academy
Cyclops Joes got the goods list, except here indont hunt , but cool listing of great scopes all , super quick all hard work already done thx Joe, and the cream of the Bunch is Hawke Vantage, Im using a few myself but only on Airguns this side of the pond they are all i need cheers ,good no Great Video, thx dude
I have the Leopold. Good hunting scope.
Again I was a Nikon guy there glass was always good. But your choices here I can't argue with I've looked though some of these upper class scopes and your right you get better glass the more you spend. Lecia again has great camera lens and they have the same in their scopes.
Absolutely
Never cease to impress with quality of your content 🤟
Wow , thank you
Great Vid!
Thank You . I have a LOT of time in this one
Joe, I appreciate this review - thank you. I was surprised that Tract didn't make the list with their 1" hunting series, but the Burris appears to be tops at that price point.
Yeah I would love to recommend them. But haven't tested their hunting scopes
@@CyclopsJoeVideos I think its the Delta Titanium that has my attention because of the pins (?) that allow setting for specified distances. Can you expound? I can't find the website that explains that. And just remember no matter what we buy it's your fault. No problem just drink more Coors LOL. BYTW if you're ever in Scottsdale I have a U-haul full. PS Meopa looks real interesting..... I'm a sucker for light shows.
HI: I have had great success with Vortex Scopes. reasonable costs with great glass. Regards, Frank
Very nice scope overview with good affordable scopes 👍, without expensive bling bling stuff only rich people care about
Joe I like watching your videos You have been real honest about all different types of scopes I have bought a 280 ack been thinking of the Arken or SWFA scope what is your opinion for a good deer hunting scope and great glass $500 to $700 thx
Time to do a similar review with recommendations for rim fire scopes with possibly air gun scopes from $100 to $1000.
I may before long . A lotta time went into this video
For a 1k the viper 5x25x50 ffp ebc7 is also a go too!
Zeiss don't get the love like they should IMO and glad to see them make your list... If I'm buying an optic strictly to go on a hunting rifle I go to Zeiss first. I probably have close to a dozen of their optics on rifles in my safe right now and 5 or 6 of them is the same 3-12 powered optic that use to sale for around $300 that I think they discontinued a couple few years ago when the Conquest v4 came out... Great list and video as always keepem coming brother!!!
Zeiss is incredible
Thanks for another great review. 👮🏻♂️👍 Chip
Thanks Chip
I'm really liking the look of that test bed you show at the start of this video.
Thank you
Good review AGAIN! Kinda like the SWFA, made in Japan is a plus imho. Anybody have opinions on the Redfield 3-9 scopes?
In the 800-900 range the vx5hd for my preference outdoes zeiss and swavorski every day.
Yeah man that's an awesome choice !!
Did he just....say.........Vortex???? lol
Another great video Joe!! Few scopes on here I have never heard of.
I got the hog hunter it’s great
Love your videos, you are too funny! Is there any way you can do a video on the Vortex Crossfire II Hog Hunter 3-9x 56 love to know what you think. Thanks!
Nice vid bud
Thanks Buddy
"And anybody that disagrees is fulla shit" I love this guy, he's the real thing. I just cannot watch any other scope review channel, they're all sell outs. Not this guy. 'Onya from Australia, Joe.
Tha ks Buddy ! Yeah I just do my thing
Vortex Diamondback series replaced Nikon as my go to optic.
I like the Burris droptine scopes for the money they have excellent glass and their less than $200.00 dollars
I know it's not fashionable now, but a simple fixed 4x or 6x scope has a lot going for it. Lighter, less mechanically complex, no impact shift to worry about, and most of all, no time wasted fiddling around with the scope when you should be shooting.
Well Said
Let's face it, none of these hold up to a $40 Pinty 😂
/sarcasm
... just kidding. Great video as always, and great time of year to be deploying this video Joe.
Edit: I'm a little surprised you didn't find any category/price point for a Bushnell or Steiner to place here considering they both have different spreads in the hunting category for different budgets. Although with some knowledge I have gained one way or another you still have one heck of a good list here. Never heard of the Leica brand, but at $1500 there's a LOT of good choices in the category these days so that's a narrow category to be subjective with.
One thing about that Vortex, not a knock, but an observation: There's a lot of scopes in that category that use the same components from the same factories in China (Discovery Optics comes to mind). Some of them are built okay, but I had to give up on them.
Cheers, PT
I've got the Zeiss Conquest V4 4-16X44. Like all Zeiss products the clarity is phenomenal. Swarovski and Zeiss are the class of the field.
each one a winner.
4:32 cracked me up 😂
Great video!!! So many choices.
I surprised no ritton scopes have 2 will be buying more great reviews as always best scope guy on any platform
I would have . But most all the Ritons I've reviewed were the precision scopes. And I didn't wanna just pull stuff outta thin air . I e owned all these scopes listed
Would love to see you do a review of the Maven RS 5 SFP scope
I would love to , but can’t seem to catch their attention
As a Canadian I gotta say I just love listening to your patter!! Thank you!! Anything on Shepherd?
Thanks Chris ! No man , Shepard said months ago they were sending me a scope or two .... But then Crickets
@@CyclopsJoeVideos damn!! Well hopefully they come through!! I wanna see what you have to say about their dual reticle system. Cheers man!!!
If you want a hunting air rifle scope should you spend the extra $100 on the hawke air max or hold out for the tac vector veyron ffp. Top two on my list any advice is welcome.
Great video. My only comment is who in there right mind is wanting to carry around a scope that's 27-29oz? As a mobile hunter, weight and balance are important to me.
I couldn’t agree more on the Swaro Z3’s. For a pure hardwoods hunting scope you don’t need to dial, they are as good as it gets.
Although your vids are great, my Z3 still hasn’t gotten me laid as you promised in a different video.
Gotta say, your channel has quickly become one of my favorites.
Quick question - trying to decide on a hunting scope. Choosing between Leupold VX-3HD 4.5-10x40 or the 3.5-10x50. Will shoot 300 yards and under. Thoughts?
Jim I would pick the one with the 40 mm tube The main reason being not just the savings and weight but with the smaller objective you're also going to have a deeper field of view so when you throw it up basically everything's going to be in focus with the 50 mm sometimes you have to tweak it because it has a larger objective to get the field of view right where you want it It's just not as deep it's just the way optics work out. I want both of those scopes and the 40 has ever been as bright as the 50
@@CyclopsJoeVideos great! Thank you for the detail.
Athlon scopes what about them??? For under $200 Neos & Talos line, 3-12, 4-16 & 6-18x40 with 500 & 600yd. reticles plus illuminated!!! I've got 2 of them, on a 308 & 6.5 Creedmoor. The Creedmoor took 3 deer last year, 2 head shoots & my longest at 275yds. using their reticle.
Yeah man those are great scopes. I was focused on scopes I e used and are field tested and always held up
Have you tried the Leupold VX-5HD? Those are a fantastic hunting scope as well if you can afford that price range. 👍🏼
I have only tested one . I need to test a newer one
👍👍
Have you ever looked at Shepard scopes? They used to some advirtising in national magazines.
I have and they reached out to me here a few months ago and we're going to send me a couple of scopes to test but never heard another word from them
👍👍👍
“ GO J O E GO !!!!! “
🇺🇸✨👍🏻
Hey brother, been learning about scopes and love the videos. What would you recommend for a slug shotgun in the $200 range? Do these scopes still work for a shotgun?
My top pick would be the Sig Sauer whiskey. And yes it'll work fine on a shotgun
Good video was wondering if you had any thoughts on Maven?
Yeah I have been wanting to try Maven ! I have seen them but never tested any
Most people spend around $150 to $250 on a scope for knock about hunting and there are a great many of them out there. I miss Nikon.
Me toooooo
As a newbie ( 3 years) I find the Bushnell Banner to be THE best scope for the money. CRYSTAL clear and less than $200 bucks for all the ones I've seen. I own a $100 and $160.
Man o Man....very disappointed Blackhound didn't make it🙄
There are closed capped true hunting scopes . Blackhound has mainly lpvo and varmint/ precision scopes
Joe I have been trying to get the SWFA rimfire scope 2.5x10 for about 8 months they dont have any in stock would love to get one also for my EPC 9mm build 😥 By the way another great video by Joe!!
Joe just watched your video on mean commets from March 2020 and the guy who talked about the bleaching his asshole I lost it ,it may be sick but that is some funny shit oops pardon the pun, still laughinmg may ass off.
Leupold has a LIFE TIME guarantee not a warranty . I sent a 30 yerarold scope in for repoir the sent a new one . Plus they a made in the U.S.A.
asked .
What would you suggest upgrading to over a vortex viper 2.5 10 44 that I'm currently using now for whitetail. Looking for something a Lil stonger and gathering a bit more light.
Take a look at Tract optics . Incredible glass for the price
