Evolving at 68years is probably very far from anyone’s mind here. I can only share that using this process and taking that deep dive to find your core and raise it up to live vividly requires us to find a balance between lessons learned in our past, and planning for a future without throwing away today. Be flexible in your expectations. A writ in stone set of goals will be harder to flow with the future and any serendipitous shifts that will come along. But always listen to your heart. Cheers

My ideal self would be more energised and not so exhausted. I have tons of creative projects I want to do, but I’m burned out and in trauma therapy so I always feel too exhausted to do what I want to do. I have all the time in the world right now, but not enough energy physically. In 2025 I hope that changes somehow ❤
Heyyy I promise it gets better once you let your body recover it will slowly get back more energized and fueled it’s literally cyclical so don’t worry it’s not gonna last forever ! You’ll find time to do the things you love ❤

3 traits of my ideal self: confident, content, and mindful. I have an anxiety disorder, but I've been making a lot of progress this past year and I'm noticing a LOT of patterns of anxious thought and behaviors tied to them etc etc so I've been working on being rational and reasoning my way out of anxiety. I want to have confidence in myself, my ability to problem solve, in the idea that everything will be okay. I want to be content! I find myself overrun by my emotions a lot and this often means I'm feeling nostalgia when things are calm. I want to be more in the moment and stop reflecting so much. And finally for the mindful bit, I'm focusing on responding instead of reacting this year. Again, emotions, very reactive.
My ideal self is someone who is grounded in faith, maintaining a balanced life with good health, and a strong belief in my ability to create the future I desire.

First of all, Aileen, I can't help but notice that this hair and make-up look very good on you. You look stunning. I came up with a very long list for my ideal list but at the top of the list is that I have self-trust. My ideal self is someone who is capable of handling life's ups and downs, and trust that she can learn, adapt, and overcome obstacles even when things aren't going her way. She believes in her own skills, talents, and her capacity for growth. She is mature, calm, and collected. She inspires herself and others with her small wins, and she feels good about those. Self-trust is a recurring word whenever I think about my theme for 2025.
My ideal self's 3 traits are kind-hearted, visionary, and open-minded! While I was watching your video, I was practicing crocheting chains (not taking any notes yet, I apologize), and I realized that is another tiny step towards reinventing myself by picking up a new hobby! 💜💗💜 I know by taking on more challenges I can transform my life! Oh, and I will make it an atomic habit to journal every day (ever for 5 minutes!)

I ended a 19 yr relationship, am rebuilding my body after 4 total joint replacements (and weight gain), but also revamping both my professional and personal identities. So Thank You! My ideal self is kind, by helping others in need and sharing her love and light frequently. My ideal self is strong: I set firm boundaries and distance myself when people cross these in a disrespectful way, remembering that this says more about them than about me.
My ideal self lives in absolute freedom. She lives alone, just like I do, but still has a long term, exclusive partner. She doesn't have to work a mundane, typical job where her personality is controlled or suppressed. She is a writer, and she works whenever she feels like it and when inspiration hits. She has no stress. She has very few responsibilities. She is free to choose her own schedule and even that is not strictly fixed is she doesn't want to follow it one day! She is also very affluent and lives in quiet luxury. She can buy anything she fancies, no matter the price tag. Actually, she's a multi millionaire! (I know, it sounds crazy. But if you can't dream big, you'll never achieve big things. If you dream big and try hard, maybe you'll still fail, but at least you'll know you've tried and did your best.)
I came accross another creator that's making this kind of content as well (visualizing ideal self, etc), and i did try a bit to get into it, but for some reasons yours is always special to me. I usually don't take enough time to reflect on what I truly want in life and just lets myself float aimelessly. It's great for those of us (adults being able to exercise at least some of basic human rights) who can, to FOCUS on whatever FREEDOM we have and take action! For me going according to the Yiddish calendar, I've already been in the new year 5785 (from Oct 2024) for a month and a half 📆 A big fight broke out on New Year's Day this year with one of my best friends, and for around the first 42 days of 5785 my heart was heavy. Just this week I found myself out of the dumps 💔 I've learned that shoving down my true emotions to please other people was my mistake. Giving my emotions a voice, at least within myself, was crucial. I'm becoming a person Who Journals on weekdays (days when I'm religiously allowed to write or record) 💙
