Time frame does not matter, it takes seconds to remove it. I told them not to wash or detail, my car because I am a detailer but I did tell them to remove that lip protector... to be removed at time of delivery, by dealer. If I leave it any longer, it will accumulate dirt and water under there and your paint will be damaged.
What I did on my 2020 Charger Scat Pack is took them off and painted them black. I then took a 2" strip of carbon fiber wrap and went around all the edges the protector covers and put them back on. My drive way has a big dip on it for water to flow to the storm drains, so I need them on my car because it scrapes backing out.
You honestly deserved this. I hate seeing ppl damaging their own vehicles because of something that they think looks good when there's a reason alot of ppl tell you to take that plastic crap off. It gets frustrating seeing ppl leave that crap on

@@F8Scat haven't been able to figure all that out with the virus going on. FCA did say the dealer would have to check it first before taking it up to the coporate level but it's very noticable that i need either a new bumper or completely bum & repaint it
Try putting gasoline on a rag and wipe down the scratches, that’s how I removed light scratches like the ones behind the door handles of a car from peoples finger nails
Same thing happened to my car but after i took it off i found myself going to alot of slopes like your drive way so i put some tape and a little foam on the bumper guard then i spray painted it a different color and it looks pretty good. Just a little job during this quarantine lol but looks good
Yes , made the same mistake too. Had my yellow guards on for only 1 week after buying my Hellcat. Was 6 days too long. Luckily the major scratches were only underneath the chin spoiler vs. on top. I did have 1 minor scratch on top. 1 scratch too much. 😢
I read that ZL1- add ons has a kit that bolts into existing holes to protect the front spoiler against driveway scraping... around 50.00( saw it on channel belonging to workplaydrive ).
Two thoughts, have it painted to the color of the car or add some real protection from a company called Scrapearmor.com which will protect your bumper. I have a Scatpack and added the Scrapearmor and love it. If you go that route let me know I have some tips for adding it.

I think even if you removed it the first day minor scratches would be there. Before you got it I was sitting on the dealership lot for however long, even more time added on from when it came off the assembly line.

These are placed on the front to protect it during shipping to the selling dealer (watch it when the transport driver is driving one off the trailer when they've been delivered - you'll understand why they put these on at the factory) . They are supposed to be removed once the car is going through inspection and cleaning before it's put on the lot.

It’s actually not scraping the lip which is good. There is a lip call dr. Scrape I believe that u can buy to protect your front lip.
