Hi sweetie, Im new at this. I lost my beautiful mom and my heart is so overly sad and so a friend showed me this new craft and it is helping me a lot. I made my craft room in my moms room so I feel close to her and can spend my time doing something I love. I know she would have loved what I am making. Looking forward to watching your video . Hugs. Kym❤
Hi Kym, as someone who is new to this as well, I would like to say welcome. I came to this after a series of losses too. I pray that creating in a space graced with your mom's presence and memory brings you some level of comfort and solace. Be well my friend.
I tend to overthink things and I am not sure if this is even legal, but if not, somebody will block it :-) short story. My journey is much like the other women that have replied to your post . I’ve been at crafting for about 10 years and have many supplies that I have been sorting through the last couple of weeks - prayerfully believing that somehow I would be able to pass things on to someone who could really benefit from them. If you’re in the United States and I can get some things mailed to you I would be thrilled to do that. I Developed a website 10 years ago and the story of my journey into crafting; a journey with my mom and her Alzheimer diagnosis. That dream was put on hold and mom’s journey continues although she is in hospice at this time. If you want to know that I’m safe for lack of a better word, you could look at the story outlined at my makersshed.com The best way to reach me would be via email which is hellomymakersshed.com Probably not a good idea to share phone numbers or information or addresses over the UA-cam app. ❤. By the way, the website is up although I haven’t done any updates or anything to it for about six years and the shopping cart don’t work so promise this is not pitch for business😂
Omg, thank you for posting this. I was wondering what to do with blank pages I have for a journal I am working on. My favorite is the washi tape idea, others are great too.
What great ways to spice up a blank side. I love them all, but my favorite would probably have to be the stenciling. Thank you for all the awesome tips!
Thank you Jessica, great ideas! I love that you don't edit your mistakes, cause you're right, there's always gonna be "beauty" flaws, mistakes, etc. they go hand in hand with junk journals
Thank you! Such great ideas! I have a journal I'm making for my niece and I've embellished some but want to leave lots of "open" space for her to do whatever she likes...but I felt lazy leaving white pages. Maybe I'll still leave one or 2 as blank slates for her but there's at least 2 that could use a slight spruce up with some of your ideas! thank you so much!
What a fun and useful video of ideas! I think we all struggle with using single sided papers in journals and these techniques will make me more confident going forward! Thanks, Jessica!! 👍🏼👏🏼😍
Thanks so much for this video. I’ll be saving this to my Journaling folder for future reference. I guess my favorite would be to combine stenciling over coffee dyed paper, or stamping. The glassine bag is something I never remember to do so I’ll be using that. ❤
The one I liked the best was the page where you created a master board, then copied it onto the white side of your page, thus being able to use it over and over again. Fabulous! Thank you so much! 😃
I've used all of these methods myself, but there were a couple I had totally forgotten about. Like using a piece of fabric to cover a page. I love that one because then you can decorate the fabric on top and have a ton of hidden journaling space underneath. Also, what about the most basic of using a stamp to create a pattern? So quick, easy, and simple. Sometimes, we get stuck using the same few methods of doing something and forget about some really good ones. I will definitely be going into my craft room and putting these in my "Ideas Book". Thanks again for another really good video, Jess!
What a fantastic video. Often I will see a craft that calls for double sided paper. I do have a few paper pads that are double sided and sometimes I don't always like the combinations. So now I can take a single sided sheet and make it my own. I never thought of some these ideas. I love it! TFS!!!
Or a Colored or Collaged Envelope ❤ oooh maybe even gluing a pretty magazine page . Im feeling inspired now 😂 . 😊 such wonderful ideas Jessica . I love it ☺️ tfs 👏
Thank you, Jessica! I am excited to see your video on this topic and to decorate my white journal pages with your ideas! My favorite is stenciling and stamping. 💕
Hi. I am 53 almost 54 and I am new to all this. 😊 I’ve seen other channels and I’ve never seen other ways to make the back of a page turn into something without printing something on the other side. What you are doing is amazing. 😊 I love it 😊
I really loved the fabric flip and the napkin decoupage, to totally new ideas for me. I think what you were trying to say about your master board print was you didn't want a collage spread in the middle of the journal but you wanted it to appear as two separate pages. I really like having the pockets in the middle, nice idea there too.
Definitely a good video to keep in your playlist of ideas! The stamp idea was definitely a good one but I think my favorite was the collage at the end! 🎉❤
Gteat ideas! Ive used the stamping using a grungy look or smudges....also like the stenciling as very fast! Ive actually hand drawn wonky lines on blank pages for a place to write, then added a word sticker and flower, etc. I too make collage boards and scan them into my computer,,,didnt think to use them to orint on the white pages. Great idea!
Yay thank you and I couldn’t believe it when I woke up and passed 85k! My channel doesn’t grow that quickly so it was a great surprise and now I’m filming another video similiar to this for all my new subbies yaya!
I thoroughly enjoyed this video!! My favorites are the Washi tape and the master board. I am going to make a sample of all these so I will have them for future reference. I have avoided using paper with white sides because I don’t like them. But it’s really hard to find double-sided paper, plus it’s really expensive!!! THANK YOU for sharing these techniques with us.
Oh I needed all these ideas !! Thank you so much for this video . I have a lot of one-sided paper I have had for years and now I know how I can use it. 🙂
Thanks for another fun video. This is a great plan to make a little journal out of all these ideas! I can continue to add more blank pages as new ideas come. I like the stencil page and the pocket page.85k!!!!!!
Thanks for these tips! I’m always wondering what to do with one-sided paper. These are great ideas! I have never thought to print on the back of the paper. 😂 That was like a “duh” moment for me. I also never thought about making a spray bottle with tea or coffee to use quickly, so thanks for that, too! But my favorite method was collaging. Thanks again for the great ideas! 🎉
Tip: i use empty hair and beautiy products spray bottles, I guess one could also use empty cleaning products, spray bottles (kitchen/bathroom) to fill with coffee, and / or tea with. Cheaper or rather free as we already have those! ❤❤
I love all these ideas but I do like the stamping. This would be a great way to use my small stamps that I seem to hoard lol. Thanks for sharing. I will be using all theses great ideas. You can make a small background book of ideas to have it handy. ❤
I like the printed copy of a masterboard because it would be quick to do. If a person printed off several pages of every masterboard they make, eventually, a person would have a large variety for covering white space. I also like using distress ink over a stencil or spraying over a stencil. Remember; this is the back of the printed side you are using face up.
I can’t believe we hit 85k overnight! Make sure you’re subscribed to get all the updates on the livestream party and huge giveaway!

I too started when my momma passed. It has helped me out immensely with my grief. Everything I create is inspired by my mom “nana”❤❤

Love seeing you come on. Hope you’re feeling better.

The stamped page ended up super cute!! And I actually liked how you put the washi across the entire page! Oh and That napkin is soooo pretty!!! 🌸🌸🌸
I think I like either the stenciling or stamping the best.
Very cute and great reminders. ❤
I liked all your ideas, it was very helpful. My favorite was the napkin decoupage!

I completely forgot about the fabric idea! That was another great one!
I like the idea of collageing then print copies 🙂
I love the stenciling and the use of washi tape.
Nice refresher video 😊I love the napkin decoupage page❤

Great ideas and reminders-thank you for sharing. My favorite was a reminder to print on the back side of your scrapbook paper with a scan or digital.
My favorite is the stamping too.
Great ideas!!!!!
I love the napkins ,washi tape and fabric cover since I have tons of them! I’ve struggled on how to cover white pages and you gave such great ideas!
Or a Colored or Collaged Envelope ❤ oooh maybe even gluing a pretty magazine page . Im feeling inspired now 😂 . 😊 such wonderful ideas Jessica . I love it ☺️ tfs 👏

Congratulations Jessica! Way to go I've been watching you for about 5 years.

I loved this video, Jessica! It’s good to get reminders of these great ideas for plain pages. I use the stencil and ink method the most. ❤
Thank you! BTW, you can use one of those foam brushes to brush on a light covering of coffee or tea...dries quickly and no spray bottle issues. 😊
Thanks for that great tip! I’m going to do that from now on 😀
Thank you for taking the time to do this video, it’s people like you that help people like me, thanks again ☺️
Hello I'm new to your channel. Thank you for the great ideas

I use stenciling and hadn’t thought of the others.I also need to remember that I don’t need to do the whole freakin’ stencil.
Thank you so much - this was amazing

My favorite ❤️ washi tape. Love them all
So many great ideas! And can mix them up too, using all the many, many supplies in our art treasure chest. Thank you - this video was very inspiring!

Nice Work 😊
Thank you for sharing your ideas. I can not pick a favorite. Could you please tell me the size of the pages?
They’re 4.5x8 inches (when folded!)

Thanks for another fun video. This is a great plan to make a little journal out of all these ideas! I can continue to add more blank pages as new ideas come. I like the stencil page and the pocket page.85k!!!!!!
Nice! You could also use distress inks to color the white side and then stamp too like you did. Tfs!!
Such helpful ideas. Thank you so much I like them all however the washi tape and the cloth lift up and my favorites.
I will refer to this video often!! Thank you so very much! Especially using a napkin!!

My favorite is the washi tape. I never thought of using it to decorate the white side and I have lots of washi tape!
Great video, thank you
Love it. Napkin and masterboard was cool
Good ideas, thank you for sharing. Like a reference book, but on video, a perfect resource ;)
Coffee dye solution seems to work best when you paint it on with a large paint brush like using watercolor.
Thank you for sharing these great ideas!
I like the printed copy of a masterboard because it would be quick to do. If a person printed off several pages of every masterboard they make, eventually, a person would have a large variety for covering white space.
