"But for Grace go I" was something that my grandmother taught me many years ago and one that I often use to remind myself to change my thoughts. Thank you for sharing.
Yes yes yes !! Girl you better, keep on having these Chats. JESUS, is our Hope and stay!! Oh that amazing Grace!! Thank you to you and your family !! KEEP SHINNING HIS LIGHT !! We are watching & learning with you😉! Be Blessed!!
May God bless and help you dear friend Thank you for sharing from the heart...I really can relate my heart strings have been being tugged on lately in my personal life
Bible says the world grows cold and it is. I am proud of you sweet Lady for voicing your feelings, not just for you but others too. Mostly I am proud of you for speaking out your relationship with Jesus. So many are afraid to mention Him, so He will not mention them to the Father. ❤❤🙏🙏❤❤
Thank you for sharing, I wished I could send you some pictures of our Garden what I think would cheer you and the viewers up. Again Rachel thank you and I believe you’re a wonderful woman and a inspiration to me and my husband 🙏🙏🙏
Thanks for sharing, Rachel. I’m so sorry your friend is suffering and send healing, warm, virtual hugs to both of you. Going to the woods is healing, particularly if you can go alone, when something is laying on your heart. The feeling of being nestled, held, really, by the natural world is so healthy. Just allowing yourself to be with whatever is happening is freeing. Loved and agree with your kind, gentle message. Be well my friend. You don’t even know me, but you feel like someone who would be my friend. 🙏
Rachel I get it…I understand everything your saying and I believe the same and I couldn’t have said it better. I’m not real articulate….I’m a wordy southerner. Sometimes it’s hard to put things into words but you did a great job! Love from Florida
Rachel, thank you for this lovely reminder of God's grace! Your cabin property is beautiful. Your strength and persistence are honorable and beautiful!
Thank you for your message today. I needed to hear this as I was just verbally attacked today for standing up for my granddaughters rights. I wanted to scream back at the person but I didn't and walked off in tears and later thought what a weak spined person I was. Now I see by keeping my thoughts to myself and not acting as they did I made the right choice. Yes the tears kept flowing for a bit but I prayed for the other person. And yes my granddaughter is in a safe place tonight
My husband says it's so much easier to be nice and kind to ppl than it is too be judgemental or disrespectful. He is 100% right. It costs you nothing to be kind and give someone a smile. We have no idea what struggles they may be dealing with. Your word of kindness may be what helps them get through their day. It may give them the strength to move forward and recognize that angels come in all forms. As an example, I was at the store and I was picking up some half n half There was a somewhat older woman next to me. She had the door open and was calling back into the cooler area to see if there was someone there to help her. Clearly she needed help with something. I asked her what she needed. There was a gallon of almond milk that she couldn't reach. I bent down and got it for her. She was so thankful! I made the comment that I should've said a prayer while I was down on my knees-her response- God hears you no matter what! It cost me nothing to help her she sure blessed me with that memory and reminded me that there are so so many ppl who believe as I believe. Angels, indeed, come in all forms. Blessings to you Racheal and your friend. 🙏♥️
Everyone is on their own personal path. Each of our lessons and experiences are a teaching tool. Your lessons will be unique to you. Help others where and when you can, but don't take away their lesson. It's not our place to judge. I carry this message all the time. ❤
Rachel, I love you!! We All needed your message and reminder of compassion, grace, mercy, understanding, and following the golden rule! My heart is very appreciative of the time you spent sharing your heart with us!! Your friend is in my hearts thoughts and prayers, as you also are!!! 😘♥️🙏♥️🌹🌈☀️🕊️💗💗💗🐝💗💞
Really great talk, Rachael. More Christians need to be talking more...spreading our hope, our known faults, our love for others; even when we cannot identify with their woes. I think when we share how we feel we give others the knowledge that they can get through their struggles too. We don't have the same struggles in life, but EVERYBODY does struggle, it's just a different story. 💜 I miss my Michigan.
"There but for the Grace of God go I" is something I have tried to live by. I'm not always successful, but I try. Your words spoke to my heart... thank you for sharing. I will keep your friend (and you) in my prayers. Bless you ((hugs))
Love you Rachel! Thank you for sharing your heart and keeping the standard not only for what it means to be a caring and kind human being, but a follower of Christ ❤️🙏🏻
Very well said, Rachel. It’s hard to be gracious to those who lash out. I sure do look forward to a world where everyone there will live in harmony. I’ll look forward to meeting you there in our future garden of Eden. Thanks for your heartfelt words while wading through what this life throws at us.
Rachel we built and off grid cabin in the woods 17 yrs ago hard to believe it’s been that long. It’s the place I go to completely clear my mind and it puts me in a good mood, we grow a garden their and have berry bushes. So I know how you feel!!❤
Rachel you could not have said it better! Thank you for those words that really hit home for me. I see what you see in the world and it makes my heart so heavy but I will continue to pray because I know that is the only answer! Thank you and God Bless!
This was a lovely chat. Thank you for sharing with us. I’ve never commented, but I have been watching your videos lately. I honestly can’t remember how I found you. But I find it all quite refreshing and appreciate you two sharing your life with us. There are hurting people in this world that want to hurt back. Sometimes it’s hard to understand where they’re coming from. The world is difficult for us all at times. Even at moments like a pressure cooker. It’s nice if we can just remember to show each other love and grace every day. The days that I can’t seem to do this, I find it best just to turn it all over to Jesus and keep my thoughts to myself. May God bless you and your sweet family and your friend.
Thank you for sharing Rachel. I'm sending your friend lots of love and strength, to get through her dark times. 💕 As someone, who has gone through very tough and dark times I can say, it is a blessing to have a friend like you on your side through all of this. You are a very kind person. Love to you and your family and friends.
Rachel, I'm sorry your dear friend is going through such a difficult trial in her life right now. I pray that the peace that surpasses all understanding come down upon her situation and that she is set free the pain and bondage afflicting her life. You mentioned the word "trauma" and oh boy, the Lord certainly knew what he was doing when he laid some things upon your heart. Trauma can be so deep-rooted in a person, in a family, in a society, that we rarely see the "good" from all the pain that we deeply hide. Kindness is the answer. Kindness and prayer. Thank you for sharing your heart and heeding God's calling to speak. (HUGS from Arkansas)
Yes, we all need to have more empathy, love and kindness towards each other. I always tell myself do no harm. I'm glad you gave your blueberries a new home and I love the river.
God bless you Rachel for speaking truth and about this subject! We are all broken and it is by the grace of God in my life that I get through it ( w struggles & pain) … Silence is a gift on so many levels & through guarding our tongues we learn so very much ( me included) . How terribly we can be to one another!! A dear friend shared a fantastic little book with me: 30 Days To Taming Your Tongue by Deborah Smith Peggie’s. WOW- a true eye opener! God bless you Rachel & everyone one this channel! 🙏🏻♥️🙏🏻 WOW-
Today I was angry and bitter because I am going through Covid for the second time in a year and mad because not one family member or neighbor brought by soup or anything to eat because I was to tired to cook. I have given everyone that I had mentioned food when they were sick so I felt used and unloved. I went to church today and talked to Pastor and he said my sermon today will help you and I will pray for you. Philippians chapter 4. I felt better and will continue to heal from those negative feelings. God Bless I needed this
Thank you, Rachel . I have told my child to be kind, and you do not know what they are living. It's sad, but yes, many get off on being hateful . I used to think the mouth could be hateful . But now its fingers are in the chat world. I pray you, friend, is healing 🙏 . Love is free. More people need to remember this.
Rachel this is a very beautiful life lesson you have shared here! I see negativity from people of all walks of life and feel the same way. But I definitely feel with age comes wisdom. I myself say this all the time to my kids. I call this heart based living. Helping others without expectation! Beautiful message here! Thanks again for such great content and real!!! BLESSINGS .
Rachel, you are amazing! Thank you for just being you and sharing so much of your wisdom. You and Todd are two of my favorite people and I am so thankful for your channel!
Oh Rachel. Thank you so much. I needed this, this morning. We have to be a Jesus example for the people who need it the most. We just have no idea what demons someone is fighting. I do try to live by this but I fail miserably sometimes. The consequence could be them hearing our hateful words and ending their lives because it was just the last straw. Be kind. Thank you for your obedience Rachel.
Dear Rachel and Todd, I found your channel only a few weeks ago looking for ways to save money gardening and canning my own food. I came across your videos and have been obsessively binge watching all the episodes I can find. I absolutely love you two, you're such a great couple and live the kind of life I admire. It breaks my heart to think that anyone could ever say anything mean to you or about you. Your videos inspire me to be a better person and I love your dinners, time in the garden, home made beauty products, canning videos and pantry organization tips. Just stay awesome and thank you for you videos!!!
Amen, Rachel! You are fortunate to have been raised by a mother who taught you to keep quiet when you didn’t have anything nice to say. I was not raised that way, but the Lord has helped me and is helping me to learn to be a blessing and not a curse. My autism and basic nature prompt me to say things I later regret. Spending time in the word of God and in prayer changes me fundamentally, I need Jesus every day! His grace in my life gives me what I need to give grace to others. I have been a traumatized, wounded person, but God is healing me. I have come a long way on the road to mental and spiritual health. You are giving good advice to wounded people. We can heal and change, especially through the strength of the Lord.
Ah Rachel. I could really relate to your message. I recently had someone hurt much feelings and it effected me to the core. So painful and I cannot talk it out with this person. My technique is to write letters to this person and burn them rather than mail them. This process took me nearly 2 weeks and six letters to bring all of my feelings to a place where I could deal with them. Maybe this will work for someone else.
Thank you for reminding me to look at some things in my life differently, and possible changes I need to make for the good.Sometimes it takes listening to others feelings, not just wth our ears but with our hearts to realize how important it is to treat everyone with love and respect, no matter what they have done to you. That is a beautiful peaceful area to be in.
Oh my goodness this is a precious video. You can feel your heart's heaviness and your perspective is refreshing. The world is becoming very calloused and more unkind with some truly jaw dropping, heartbreaking things going on. So touching for you to share some of your quiet reflection time, your brokenness, your wisdom, kindness, your cute bare feet and dirty hands which is truly endearing. Prayers for your friend and your precious heart. God bless.
Thank you for sharing your inner perspective. We are all on this journey together. Surrounding ourselves with people who believe what we believe but respecting others who believe differently is a lesson that I’m afraid is not adhered to very often. Know that putting your life out for others to watch your journey is a blessing for me and you are loved for it.
Thanks for sharing Rachel. That was beautiful and it’s such a good reminder to show grace for haven’t we’ve been given much grace as well? God bless you sister!
Very kind, heart-felt message; thanks for sharing! I saw a message awhile ago that I loved: “if you don’t feel like you belong to this world, just maybe you came to change it!” Love & peace & blessings to all 🤗💜🇨🇦
That was very much needed! Thanks for sharing with us all! We will be praying for your friend, and your family, all who are involved! God bless you all! Much love from East Tennessee!
Well said. One of our church’s focus for the year is Be Just, Be Kind, Be Humble.
Rachel, thank you for being real and saying what was on your heart.

Perfect timing Rachel. I felt every winded word my sister. You've been a huge blessing to me today. ❤
You said it all very well. Peace dear lady, and especially for your dear friend. And yes, we are all going through our own private battles.
