spent ages trying many different apps to be able to override a old college ID card and they all didnt work so thanks for allowing me to find this app rather than me having to buy a read/writer for my pc so thanks for saving me ~£20
Locking the tag prevents the data being changed. If you are using the tags for personal use, then there's no need to lock the tags. However, if the tags are being used in public then to prevent other people changing the data, you are usually best to lock the tags. Note that if you leave the tags unlocked, anyone can change the data and then lock the tags. If you lock the tags, then nobody, including you, can change the data.
i wanna back up every skylander since the og characters from 2011 are starting to die for everyone but i dont wanna buy them second hand because they will be in the same condition as the current ones and i dont want to wait until i have saved up enough money for a nfc card writer please help me
Greetings, Can you create a video specifically on the reason to lock or unlock your nfc tag? In my opinion a separate video would be helpful to android and iphone users. If the person has an iphone he or she isn't going to watch the android video to get the explanation of locking and unlocking a tag.
You went into a lot of detail with encoding/writing a weblink onto the tag in this video which is great. However, you didn't provide as much detail on how to encode/write a web link on the iPhone tutorial. The iPhone tutorial was only 90 seconds. Do you have a 90 second video on how to encode/write using an Android?
Hi. We could, but the NTAG213TT tag tamper has been out of production for a while and if you are developing a new project, we might suggest that you plan around a different chip.
Yes. NTAG215 and NTAG216 tags can be encoded in the same way. The NTAG215 functions in the same way and has the same performance as the NTAG213 chip but has more memory. Note that if you are storing just a web link or an ID, then Seritag recommend using the NTAG213 instead of the larger memory chips.

Do I have to purchase the tags and where can i get it purchased and how do i encode it to any functions i want (I'm new to this though)
Greetings, I am not a techy person. My thought is locking the tag would protect your tag from hackers. Why did you recommend locking the tag?

hellow!, Can an iPhone read the NFC tags programmed from this app?
Yes. But make sure you don't add a 'title' when you encode your tags.

what is the app name
TagWriter. Like mentioned in the description.
Will 215 tags work as well?
