I am the father of my son, who is ASD, on the lower level spectrum of autism, and I always try to find the strength to give him the best life he can live. I just keep thinking back to when I was young and lived next to someone on the spectrum. I didn't know what it was but I always treated him like anyone else I would encounter. It gives me solice that maybe, either genetically or not, was given this opportunity to understand and have the understanding to help raise this child. It is extremely hard and challenging, but I would never change a thing. Everyone needs a champion in their life to help, and I'm fulfilled to be just that. Sometimes, it just feels good to know that I'm not that only one and I can make a difference in some way. The world is crazy these days and I am blessed in ways that it is hard to understand sometimes. Long story short, I was drawn to your banter and appreciate your message. Thank you.

You are so right about bullies and other obnoxious people - they are unhappy, and want to spread it around. I’ve just given in my notice because of bullying in the workplace because everybody there was so miserable because of two spiteful people, and the atmosphere was horrible. Life is too short to put up with that nonsense, if you don’t have to, but I do feel guilty about the people I left behind. In spite of the official policy against bullying, the management did nothing when I put in an official complaint. In the end, I gave in my notice and told the bullies what I thought of them on my last day, which probably didn’t help matters, but made me feel better.
