People don’t really see it but this guy really puts his body on the line for the team and the game
I agree
@@bobbydonavan7003net mst96
Mostly
What an absolute beast of a player. Remarkable what this guy achieved. I swear he carried on playing (till subbed off) with broken ribs, dislocated shoulder and a sprained wrist.
What a player, completely vital to every piece of success ireland have had. What a competitior
How is Andrew Forde not got wayyyy more subs
Many more subs deserved, hope you get what you deserve
Thanks for the heart
Shrek he's very NH focused thats why.
This is 1 Welsh UA-camr who consistently makes outstanding videos
4:29 great tackle
Got a newfound respect for Johnny, dude has to endure so many cheapshots but gets up every time.
Absolute legend of the game, one of the best players of all time
Thank you so much this is the best tribute ever
this is an amazing video btw, this shows how much of an amazing player Johnny is and i think since the world cup along side his horrible performance against England that he is finished, i think that in the 3 Champions cup games and the amazing performances against Scotland and Wales he is really good, with a year of club rugby, thr 8 team tourney in october and another 6N he can prove himself worthy of a Lions shirt, he is still a class player with a few dodgy performances and still has a lot to prove until 2022 (when his IRFU contract ends)
I think this shows how far sexton has improved since then- this season sexton has been playing some of his best ever rugby especially in Europe
you ave some of te best rugby content on youtube!!!
Best rugby channel on UA-cam!
He doesn't put his body on the line, the opposition do it for him 😂
people can say what they want, best northern hemisphere 10 in the last decade, world POTY, grand slams etc.
Sexton is usually the target for most team. They think if they can take him out of the game then Lenister or Ireland will lose moral and buckle with out him. That why he usually take such heavy blows.
What a legend
Last clip gave me goosebumps
🐐
Andrew have u done a tribute video on Darcy Graham or Blair Kinghorn yet? Maybe an idea.
Or WP Nel
Ewan Stewart all in for that (bit biased bc I’m Scottish but yh
Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yuhu
My favourite player
i thought dave kearney is ur fav player
There really are different cases in this video. Sometimes initiating the contact, himself, but when you look at the cases where he is on the receviing end, sometimes he is targeted as any 10 would be, and of course the greater the importance of the player in playmaking, the more the back rows will try and want to take him out
he wouldn't need to put his body on the line if he knew how to tackle correctly
watch 1:38
WRU286 ain’t it man most teenagers could dump George
Come over to Dublin this week for training then and teach him how to take down Bastero off first phase ball.
I don’t think he’d be playing for Ireland if he didn’t know how to tackle correctly
WRU286 at least jonny can tackle unlike the other English fly half not ford he normally plays centre though the guy I mean
Lions captain 2021
he wont be in the starting team for the lions
@@symeremeyers4148 either itoje, george or stander (for the provincials it aw jones)
Mr hollywood
Have u done Sam Underhill? That would be cool or maybe Marcus Smith?
Can you do a Sunwolves 2015-2020 tribute please
What a player
I’m surprised he still playing to this day
I bet you’re surprised now
Its logic, obviously you want to hit the playmaker, specially sexton
4:09 that’s kinda what a footballer would do 😂
He's been slammed head and back first, every right to look for a penalty, that's dangerous and should be red
He looks like Lord Percy from Blackadder 2.
Will he get a spot in the Lions?
Beauden Barrett tribute?
He doesn't put his body on the line, he just gets in the way!!
I underestimated how much he got smashed at racing metro
Do a sunwolves tribute please
Facts
This may be controversial but I believe a prime Sexton was a match for any 10 in the history of the sport and a superior 10 to O’Gara as well
Yes on your second statement. Massive no on the first, Sexton hasn't come remotely close to the holy trinity, Carter, Wilkinson and Larkham.
@@thomas_corbet I'd take Sexton over Wilkinson as a game manager. Sexton was best at running a team in the NH for the last 10 years as supposed to a guy who couldn't run full stop after 2004
thomas corbet spot on
At 2:8 that should of been a yellow late tackle and didn’t go for the ball
Off side sexton…
Sexton takes more dirty hits than any other player in the world. He's that good that he can't lose in a fair contest, so he gets the treatment from everyone else.
4:11 he'd make a great soccer player😂
Yes because you can somehow milk a foul out of being grabbed by the balls and being fliped upsidedown onto yourr head out of a ruck
@@ieatbananaskins7926 It's more a case of being flipped onto his side then pretending it was the head after appealing to the ref
@@ohIshatmyself still a blatant foul
I eat Banana skins It was, but trying to milk a card from a non card offense by feigning injury is poor behaviour
It's just people hitting him really hard and a couple of shit tackles by him. People target him on field because he's a 10 and because of his punch able face. But he is good at getting back up.
All the haters out therr , i just think he is one of the best 10s of alltime......and i would be a narky c.nt if i was hit late as often as him
Even though im irish and therefore an Ireland fan, he annoys me. Yes he can be pretty good, yes he has achieved so much with the team, but at the same time... he gets frustrated at every mistake that he makes, which leads to him rushing things, which leads to more mistakes. Then he becomes angrier and angrier and you can tell he can't concentrate. Also, through no fault of his own, his vast array of injuries unfortunately received over time means he isn't as strong as he used to be, not quite as nimble, not as calculated and precise. And when you play really important, tight games, you need someone to rely on. For me, that's not Johnny. But the coaches don't see it that way, so when he retires we will be left with a lot of inexperienced fly halves.
Very true none of our out half’s are experienced enough except johnny but he’s still a great player
Rugby first, English second. Is madigan not back at ulster? Would he not be back in the squad?
@Rugby first, English second. we also have an Englishman in our ranks, Billy Burns. He hasn't played for Ireland yet but it's only a matter of time before he's in the setup
@@sophiekerr8964 dont forget Ross Byrne either he is some player for leinster
Sophie Kerr ye billy burns I think is better than carbury
AND!!!!!!!
putting his body on the line for about 5/6 matches a year... Leinster wrap him in cotton wool specially for Ireland..
Leinster can beat all but 2 or 3 teams in Europe without being at full strength Byrne Frawley and Carberry 2 years ago are more then able to swat whatever team they are playing aside and need the games.
Sexton’s accent sounds American.
Saturday - August 22, 2020.
He gets the dirty hits more than most but got to say he milks then for the pens. Borderline soccer
A glutton for punishment. After so many years of ROG it was such a change of pace to get such a demonic replacement who just loves contact. Alas he was repeatedly butchered in France and was never quite the same when he came back. His attitude irks me to a degree and he seems to have no sense of self preservation anymore. But Christ what a player when he fires. That hit at 5:15 is appalling - as was the referee (who definitely should have gone to Specsavers). That cheap crap needs to be weeded out of the game.
The referee gives Ireland advantage for that late hit. Not sure how its his fault.
He tackles like an idiot. Yet on here comments like "he really puts his body on the line for his country..." Blah blah blah.
Owen Farrell tackles like that, immediately everyone: "FaRrElL iS a ThUg... sHoUlDeR bOy..." Etc etc. So much anti English and anti Farrell butthurt 😂
He has some bad tackles but that’s from his body position not done intentionally the difference is Farrell will not wrap and and hit with his shoulder on purpose
@@datschildish7186 how is his body position not intentional? He puts himself in that position...
Hes not trying to tackle high to bring them down. Hes trying to set up a choke tackle. It was a big part of Irelands game over the last 10 years hes not trying to bring the player to ground in a lot of these tackles hes waiting for support from inside and outside to wrap up the ball carrier and force a turn over. Farrell on the other hand just never wraps his arms
He's soft...
Would would happen if you were hit by a french centre like bastareaud
He fakes so many of his injuries... Dramatic...
