In 2003, Andy Capostagno was commentating a France England RWC warmup game for SA audiences. Spent the first half commenting about how tight fitting the kits were ( a trend at the time) and then, early in the second half, Michalak had a shot for goal from just inside his own half. I remember just an anguished sigh from the commentator Johnathan Davies and then 15 seconds or so of abject silence a few years ago when either Jamie Roberts or the other Johnathan Davies kicked straight to Eliot Daly to have him score a try to have Wales snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. 2014 6N maybe?

Anyone else think the standard of BT Sport commentary is just considerably poor? Whilst there are elements of banter in breaks of play, in general it’s just irritating dross in my opinion.
I would have been absolute diabolical if you hadn't put Mick Morgan in this. I would have unsubscribed.
