'That were diabolical' ICONIC
that is from the wrong match istg? it was from scott barrets red card against the wallabies in 2019??
@@dhirenfernando8159 im not sure its been edited on to a few matches. Still a hilarious bit of commentary
@@dhirenfernando8159 that’s the correct match bc that’s the only one i’ve seen it on and it’s all in time with the match
@@alextunney6331 It was an edit job
GET IM OFF THE FIELD
"he's like a blind man in a brothel" had me dying
What about Andrew cotter when Scotland played Australia and the Aussie fly half kept on missing his kicks at goal and Andrew cotter said “he’ll be kicking himself but he might just miss”
Couldn't find it I'm afraid! If you have a link I'd be happy to include it in a part two
@@AndrewDavidForde I’m on it
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
"He's more dangerous than climate change" absolute gem
Such a thrill calling that one!
"how dare you!"
"He's so DANGEROUS!! Freddy KRUEGER has got nightmares about him!!!"
Like what!!!!?????😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
You're Welcome 🤣🤣🤣
All he did, was a dummy a 2 v 1 and it received a comment like that ahah lol
Michael Corcoran almost makes missing a game worth it when you get to listen to him on the radio. An icon of Irish sports broadcasting
Fact
I remember having to leave early during the recent Ireland vs New Zealand game, his exuberance made it so much easier to bear
The pure passion in his voice
“Drop at goal, grand slam at stake” and the commentary for the winning Japan try against the boks for part two?
Definitely need Paul O’Connell shouting “OH MY GOD” when Huget dropped the ball over the in goal against Wales and North picked it up to score in pt.2
Some great moments there, thank you, my favourite was the great bill McLaren on seeing the ball come out of a nz ruck said, " and theres the ball like a chocolate bar out of a slot machine" priceless, may he rest in peace
Drops for World Cup glory has to be the most iconic rugby line, even more so cause it’s a Scot commentating England clutching a world cup
Well that shows how posh his accent is - I'm Scottish and I always thought he was English!
@@gordon1545 you can hear it on the glory, that Scottish R
And Rob Andrew screaming in tge background finishes it off!
“He’s more dangerous than climate change”I’m dead😂

Cheers!!!
Yeah, that was a helluva comment & it came out as if without any premeditated thought. Priceless stuff 😂
you have truly found some gems
I love this sm
Sean Maloney: "Pollard floats it to le Roux. Don't tell me. Don't tell me! DON'T TELL ME! Mapimpi is in again!“
Sean and the american commentator had the best lines in RWC 2019
Absolutely hilarious commentaries & brilliant historic Rugby moments to boot...Well done, great clip, you just made my Saturday perfect....🎯👍🤗
OUTSTANDERING… a great tribute word for C.J. Stander who’s gone back to South Africa. I’m a 💙Leinster 💙 rugby fan, but loved C.J. Stander of ♦️Munster♦️
& 1:53 🤣 these are great, thanks Andrew 🤣👍
This was fun, thanks.
I remember just an anguished sigh from the commentator Johnathan Davies and then 15 seconds or so of abject silence a few years ago when either Jamie Roberts or the other Johnathan Davies kicked straight to Eliot Daly to have him score a try to have Wales snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. 2014 6N maybe?
Just a strangled "auuugh...", then nothing.
2017 when Jonathan Davies kicked it away
@@jackevans1385 Ah yes, I remember it well.
Was looking for the original from a long time ago, so glad this was posted
RIP John Dawes, one of the protagonists in what could be the greatest team try ever, against the All Blacks 🖤🤍❤️
Such a good Try
1 game xhosa commentary more jokes than the whole video 😂
In 2003, Andy Capostagno was commentating a France England RWC warmup game for SA audiences. Spent the first half commenting about how tight fitting the kits were ( a trend at the time) and then, early in the second half, Michalak had a shot for goal from just inside his own half. Capostagno comment....
"Let's see if Freddie has a long one".
0:55 I can't stop laughing 🤣🤣🤣
That NZ v Canada game had me in tears lol
Some of the best rugby footage XD
Missed the classic Murray Mexted when Jonah came steaming infield off the wing to take a reverse pass from Umaga and Muzza says... "Tana really loves it when Jonah comes inside him" ....
“That didn’t slip out, did it?” lmao
0:54 🤣🤣🤣
Comedy of errors ❤❤❤
Great video. Me oh my I have enjoyed that. Yes boy
Good video idea! If there's a part 2 I'd say there's a place for the commentators astoundment after Frans Steyn's monster drop goal for Racing Metro
Bill McLaren absolute legend
The one with BB is in my language (isixhosa) lol
A translation please?? 🙏🏿😂
Great video, Michael Corcoran's commentary for Conway's try was miles better than Miles Harrison's though, that's my only slight!
GOOOOOOOoooooo Beaden 6:12 - Iconic
Please do kickoff tries. A good place to start will be Kirwan vs Italy '87 and Habana vs Blues
Missed a trick with the first one. The French commentary is on another level: 'c'est terrible...terrrrr-ible!!'
One to look up is Barnes commentating on Leinster at Bath in 2005. Something to the effect of "this much vaunted backline are supposed to be great, but you can't win matches with just backs" proceed charge down and two quick scores for Leinster to turn over Barnes alma mater.
3:53😂😂😂.......come to think of it 😂
Just in terms of iconic commentary 'Uruguay, OH URUGUAY' has to be up there for me, along with 'Off goes the whippit'. Gotta have 'You dont play that sorta mickey mouse rugby wearing a gold shirt' in there too
Always a big fan of "Gareth Thomas, what is the captain doing" from the '05 Lions tour
I was so hoping that Mick Morgan's commentary made it. "WE ALL CAN'T SPAKE!!"
That rugby league is just the greatest of all time. YOU BOTTLELESS GIT CAMPBELL
0:58 send the dirty get off😂😂😂😂
"After about a hundred and forty five phases O'GARA BETWEEN THE POSTS"
First one is known in Ireland as the “Cookie Monster” commentary.
RIP John dawes what a player 🏉.
1st guy - The Cookie Monster.
I CANT SPAKE
Fox Australia commentating on England V wales WC2015 was magic
“Kickingbackontheinsidetheyneedabouncetheygetthebounce! What a try!!”
"Imanoff... Imanoff... IMANOOOOFFFF!"
I seem to remember a game in 2012 where Jiffy also called Fotulai'i just about every name under the sun other than the correct one. Fotulawi being the most common
He called Bastaraud "a big Bastaraud" during Wales v France one year too
@@cianmwnci Hahah I remember That!
Shame Jiffy only started commentating after Jean Condom retired
Groping like a blind man in a brothel is priceless
Was waiting for the cookie monster clip to pop up on the O'Gara drop goal :D
He drops for World Cup Glory!!! ** cue banshee scream**
There's an exchange during 6 Nations, I think this season or last (pandemic has me muddled) where an announcer talks about the thighs of a Welsh or English player, then continues, only to have a camera man zoom in on the thighs, causing him to pause mid-sentence and drool, and his co-commentor admonish him for ogling.
You could do just a whole video of Bill Mclaren commentary 😁🙏This has to be one of his best "And it’s a try by Hika the hooker from Ngongotaha" (Wales v New Zealand 1980).
“slippery as a baggy up a Border burn” Bill Mclaren....pure poetry.
I have to say i'm not quite sure where that ball went... was it between the posts perhaps?
Loved it but you forgot the one from George North's try for the BIL against Australia in the first test in 2013. 'Kicks high and ling -too long- and it goes to george North to hit the COUNTER, GEROGER NORTH, STEPS BACKS, GEORGE NORTH, OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH WHAT A TRY'
"He's been out-Stander-ing" well, yeah but BOOOOOOO! 🤣🤣🤣
Ashtons try against Australia? gr8 vid btw
That zulu guy laughing at Barret 🤣
Xhosa
As a kiwi I always preferred the English commentary of the 2015 World Cup final: “he’s got Pocock for speed…and the cup is his, it’s New Zealand’s”
6:48 he's a girafe! ... a human one. XDDDDDDDDD
I remember Gordon Bray in this game for coming up with something more distinguished, when he captured the gravity and emotion of the stunning finish with, "My eyes have seen the glory... it's a rugby miracle!"
3:31 England Rugby in a nutshell
That diabolical one has got to be league
What about the Mitch Hunt drop goal
'The most beautiful man in world rugby...
Behind Andy Goode' 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 was that marler?
Flatman I think 🤣🤣👌
Sadly missing: “Shave away Gavin!”
Is that Kelvin Skerrett at 0:52 ?
BOD, RWC 2015 final still can’t beat them 2
Cliff Morgan and Bill McLaren ... legends.
Who's the guy at 3.48?
like a blind man in a brothle😂
What was the name of the player at 3:49 ?
Some of these were too mumbled or fast to understand, could you maybe add subtitles with these types of videos?
"I can't speak, you bottomless git" 😂
Bottleless, I believe
Also, it's 'spaek' not 'speak'
but futtin a poot in touch.... Hahaha
sivinaciva, the first receiver
That pathetic, defeated excuse of a tackle by carling on lomu never fails to anger me
Who is the guy at 3:36
Anyone else think the standard of BT Sport commentary is just considerably poor? Whilst there are elements of banter in breaks of play, in general it’s just irritating dross in my opinion.
You bottleless git
I’m dying
1:11 wow
captions don't even pick up some of these they are so mumbled 😳
AH CANT SPAKE!
Cookie Munster!!
AnDreW cOnWay
Ok
I would have been absolute diabolical if you hadn't put Mick Morgan in this. I would have unsubscribed.
Erm…how is the Edwards try funny?
Ditto the Dricco one?
@@bobbler42 The title says iconic just as much as it says funny, if anything iconic comes before funny - Both are pretty iconic pieces of commentary.
first
Yes, funny it is at times...but I sometimes WISH that commentators could just SHUT their gobs so that we can hear what the ref says!
He’s more dangerous than climate change 😂
