Bought a full set of the 921 Hot Metals several months ago and love them. I'm in the process of converting my whole bag to Mizuno.
I like this guy! Smart guy
Love my Mizuno JPX919 hot metals so much I thought I’d never change. But then seeing how great these look I was tempted.
Checking the specs it’s disappointing to see the lofts jacked 2.5 degrees from the 919 version. Isn’t that playing the launch monitor game?
Mizuno players are sophisticated enough to realise that a 27.5 degree 7 iron, is a 6 iron. This leaves you with gapping problems at the bottom of the bag , more important for scoring than hitting a ‘7-iron’ 180 yards.
You should look at the 923 forged, they are more like your current lofts and are super nice!
Hey Mizuno! Just fyi, on a UA-cam advert today, next to the logo and above the webpage link it said ‘Mizuno JPX 932’ 😳👍🏻
Thanks - we'd best get onto that.
I'm 71yo. I have JPX 800 HD 4-PW irons.
Obviously mine with more traditional lofts similar to the 923HL.(eg: My 7iron is 32o and 4iron is 22o) I love them.
I'm a tragic Mizuno fan and I have no problems with launch, but with advancing age I am gradually loosing distance.
After 55years playing golf, I recognise that my game is most unlikely to improve from here.😥😫
My question to you is:
Why would I move out of my current set of 800HDs into the 923 HLs, which do appeal to me, and which I assume are designed for the likes of me?
In all seriousness, would I really benefit measurably by such a switch.
My irons still look "shiny new" (A testament tto Mizuno "quality" ), so that's not relevant to me.
Cheers. DG
In the UK, how do I get to try these before buying?
Hopefully some day I will recieve my 923 Hot metal's. Had them custom ordered in LH, waited 3 weeks only for them to arrive in RH, and on the order sheet it was circled LH twice. Now I leave for my golf trip with no clubs. Will have to rent clubs since I sold my other ones. 😢
I love the looks of these clubs, but I hit my current JPX-825 (my third set of Mizunos) so well, I don't really think I'll gain that much...
Which one shoots the straightest
I'm thinking about a mixed set with the 6-7 HL and 8-G HM. But I'm concerned about the distance gapping between the two models. Any suggestions?
They have same loft I believe so it shouldn’t be a problem . Just have the same shaft in them
what really annoys me is when you get a hot metal 921 iron set and 2 weeks later they bring out a new model i really believe that manufacturers should be legaly abliged to let you know there is a new model out in a few weeks and may be you should wait till thet come out that be said thet look fantastic just wish i new before i bought my 921 hot metal irons that they would be avaliable would have waited
Hi Stuart - the 2 year product cycle has been our pattern for a really long time. We don't try and keep the launches a secret.
Available in leftie ?
Irons are great the wedges not as much
