I wish Sting’s Wrestlemania match had been with Undertaker rather than Triple H. I think that would have just blown the universe up with how amazing it would have been.
Sting is a great story teller! I could listen to him tell stories all day to be honest. The fact that he actually gets into each character (e.g. dusty, the fans etc). His face paint also really helps convey each emotion really well in my opinion. Love it
Definitely one of the greatest to ever lace em up. My favorite of all time for sure. That Dusty Rhodes impression was almost as amazing as Sting's career. And this comical side of Sting is great as well
The best comment of this so far was that Tony said he was a KISS fan and said with the paint on there face they never age and Sting come back answer was a Classic response was " I know better than that no amount of paint can cover up that " referring to Kiss's aged look with the makeup on while on tour in there 70's. I enjoyed this but what I also liked was when a fan would ask a ? and Sting would not remember the match but the fans would go into great detail when asking him the ? and also the side stories of the matches he did recount and what happened in them kind of like a side story to the fan's ? when asked and given .
He did Mention the names he and Jim Hellwig went by when they worked fro Memphis Wrestling in 1985 and they did not wear the make=up yet. So young and so inexperienced. they were big and strong, but that was it.
And don't forget they wrestled some shows for Houston Wrestling under Paul Boesch as part of The Talent Sharing Agreement between Houston Wrestling and Mid-South Wrestling.
He's just a cheap, wrestling, rip-off of an iconic character.. if u want my opinion. maybe that's why Seth broke his neck. he will forever live in the shadow of Brandon Lee .
Mannn the crow gimmick was awesome I loved that version of sting because it gives homage to Brandon Lee and it gives sting the change of mystery like it’ll make you wonder what is his intentions or what is he thinking about
Sting was always one of my favorites as a kid, and up to this point. But always remembered him and flair wrestling together. Sting always seemed to come up short. Then he finally beat him. Great moment for sure. Always consistent when it came to performing. Not too many so called flop matches. Obviously a few come to mind. But overall great. Thanks Steve “my favorite sting” Borden.
He was under appreciated he is a truly good human being who loved the business and stayed away from the politics when you look back and think WCW sting is the face of that promotion… which says a lot considering all the great wrestlers who worked for turner.. He is a Christian which is the cherry on top of everything…
I remember watching you in gainesville ga at the ga mountain center best memories of my child hood i enjoyed those types of places being able to watch animal playing galaga
Sting is and always has been an absolute class act!! I wish he could’ve got his match against undertaker!! Either way tho I’m glad he got to end his wrestling career on a high note and that hes happy with it!!
Well that didn’t happen exactly how you worded it but I thought the entrance with Sting’s sons was a very nice touch to involve family in Sting’s last performance.
Here's pretty much our only Taker v Sting match option left. Survivor Series 5 on 5: Team Taker v Team Sting. At some point during the match, there's a maylay that spills out and clears the ring. Taker and Sting have a stare down. Throw some punches, couple Sting chops, irish whip to corner and Stinger splash x2, Scorpion Death Drop, Taker sit up spot, Choke Slam, Team Sting members get back in ring, work punches till Taker powders back outside the ring.
Anyone else notice that Sting’s paint actually enhances his facial expressions? When I did the Brandon Lee Crow the first time, I realized that the paint made my expressions more intense.
Mount Rushmore of pro wrestling-- if you dont think so, I bet you're from the north! He was sooooo over in the late 80s & early 90s. Everyone forgets just how huge Surfer Sting was, without Sting there wouldnt have been a WCW Nitro , & no Monday Night Wars, wcw wouldn't have been a major league wrestling company without him, wouldnt have been an NWO , & then add in all the stuff since Crow Sting, hes top 5 all time!
I had a chance to see Sting in his retirement year, but didn't take it. Oh well. Sucks, but he will always be one of my favorites. With all the people asking about Sting vs. 'Taker I'm surprised he didn't mention the match against 'Taker when he was Mean Mark when Callaway was with WCW in his early days. Even though the two were older when Sting came over to WWE, and 'Taker thinks it wouldn't have lived up to fans expectations, I think the two of them would have left it all in the ring.
My Ideal Dream Wrestlemania Match back then is either 2 out of 3 falls match or 3 Stages of Hell Match between Sting and Undertaker. Of course, Undertaker would still be the winner but atleast during the 1st or 2nd fall, we would also witness Sting pinning or submitting the Undertaker. Everyone wins,
sting at #GotJ25 #GatheringOfLegends the atmosphere isnt "christian" but theres more genuine love than you find at many religious institutions behind the paint is violent j's biography btw. hes putting all his heart and soul into #JuggaloChampionshipWrestling and fairly sure ppl would lose their mind just seeing sting in any capacity. mmfwcl always felt there was more "action" in WCW than wwf/wwe which is why they took the lead. sting didn't say shit, just came out and let the commentators do the talking like expected. live is great because you never really know whats going on other than the expressions, and wrestling always been pretty good at overexagerating emotions. how some people learn whats good and whats not. whats acceptable and what isn't. they do have an issue on showing off "strength" that isn't physical, but in all honesty wrestling is best viewed as a dramatic comedy. its a play, a different type of play but still a play
Also let's be honest Hogan ruined this sport for everybody all because he was all about himself. Look at him now sex tape kids are all a mess and divorced. This guy here a real respected dude.
Sting dusty rhodes impression was spot on 😂
It was like Dusty spoke through him lol
50:48
Sting and Dusty are my two all-time favorites and never heard anybody say a bad thing about either one of them. Both are legends!
One of the best memories of my life was being there in person to see Sting win the championship in 90.didnt even care we had crappy seats lol
Yeah no one was watched on tv than sting he was famous in arab countries and goat
44:50 That guy accurately predicted Goldberg vs Undertaker would be a dumpster fire.
I wish Sting’s Wrestlemania match had been with Undertaker rather than Triple H. I think that would have just blown the universe up with how amazing it would have been.
What a career this man had !! A real Icon, thank you Sting for all the cool moments
I swear i laughed watching this. Love sting and Tony
I miss Sting every day since he retired
What a run he had!! He was over sixty when he retired!!😮
Sting is the GOAT. Will always be my favorite wrestler..Was such a big influence on my childhood

Probably one of the most badass people in the business who wasn't as recognized as much as others.
I first started watching wrestling in mid 90’s Sting and Goldberg on WCW WHAT A career he has had glad he is still able to move and do things
It's showtime Folks
#ThankyouSting
Thank you JR!
Karla Instead Of Instead of Johnny
Thanks for uploading this video
Sting your the greatest 😍😍
Good stuff. Wish Tony would’ve let Sting talk about his Mid South/UWF days before going to WCW!
He did Mention the names he and Jim Hellwig went by when they worked fro Memphis Wrestling in 1985 and they did not wear the make=up yet. So young and so inexperienced. they were big and strong, but that was it.

One thing for about Sting nothing is for sure. My favorite 😊
Omg that Jake the snake story is wild. Glad they are 👍

We love you stinger❤❤
I’m glad I was around to see original surfer sting, and watch the crow sting develop.
Why does this senior citizen sound like he's in his 20's still? Part of the Stinger's charm.
Thank you sting
TONY Schavione 🔥💯‼️👏
He Seems like one of the Coolest and Chilliest Wrestlers Ever
Sting needs a Podcast.
Whyyyy did the David Arquette story make me laugh so hard?!
One of my all time favorite wrestlers!
Thanks JR!
17:52 easy way of saying Hogan decided on the day of the show to change the plan. Good work politically, Sting.
Unfortunate that he can’t just outright say it when we all know it’s true
Sting : we had a plan . Hogan: I had my own plans
This video was awesome thanks JR

This american loved it at the time.
@@wonderoushistoryofclassicf9193Same here, I thought it was a great change of pace and reinvention. It fit his character well.

greatest.
Sting broke tony and i love it and sting has been my #1 favorite and to hear him just talk and joke is amazing
Sting and Bray would have been amazing!
Sting is King
Awesome
I liked Sting vs the Great Muta days.
THIS is basically Dante interviewing Elias from CLERKS III
"Such a good guy GONE BAD for Satan. Why the turn Elias?"
Sting is and always has been an absolute class act!! I wish he could’ve got his match against undertaker!! Either way tho I’m glad he got to end his wrestling career on a high note and that hes happy with it!!
great interview! Sting is pretty funny! . nancy karrigen lol
The GOAT.
I hope sting comes out for his last match in stinger fashion! Bright neon colors for the last time!
Well that didn’t happen exactly how you worded it but I thought the entrance with Sting’s sons was a very nice touch to involve family in Sting’s last performance.
Agreed, just kinda miss the original we have had 20 years of crow sting

Why are you painting your face lol
im shocked nobody mentioned his time in tna
Is that Brian Posehn running the crowd mic? Dude's roasting the guys asking questions 😂
Sting is the most mysterious wrestler ever. Like, does he have a home life?
Waynesboro in the house!!!!
I Love Dusty Rhoads !!
Sting Is top 4🎉 wrestler all time.... Flair, Hogan, Austin and Sting is my Mt Rushmore.... 2nd Mt Rushmore is Taker, Andre, Dusty and Rock
Good Ol' JR

im not ready for today yet l lol
That one guy was right about taker and Goldberg
Bout time
WWE let the WCW/NWA fans down yet again by not giving us the dream match we wanted, Sting vs The Undertaker.
I had a chance to see Sting in his retirement year, but didn't take it. Oh well. Sucks, but he will always be one of my favorites. Sting will return
26:02 we just didn’t like the finish! Sting should’ve beaten Trips. Period
Shouldve bn on Tony Schiavones podcast tbh..JR is too jaded these days for my taste
Asking Sting if he thinks making Nitro going to 3 hours is what killed WCW. Of all the questions you could ask Sting…
Feels his home has always been away from WWE
Taker and sting one last ride!
44:54 when a internet smark steps outside of their basement
When was this
2019
Sting is gonna be back in wwe so expect that much its a given
