Thank you all for the appreciations and salutations. Something special happens for me when I dig into the music of Thelonious Monk. My level of respect for the piano and Jazz gets boosted up a notch when I approach his music. I pray that I can continue to serve you all faithfully for many more years!
You are serving us well! Would you mind recording a few dozen toons from the american songbook while you are on this planet? I am wondering if demands like that annoy you because you have so many great compositions of your own on your records. I just wanna have it. You are a lyrical and 360-degree player.
Mr. Spenser, I don't perceive them as demands, but accommodations. God didn't give me a gift so that I could just play at home and serenade myself; it was meant to edify others. However, I should inform you that if it's American songbook you want, you might look to the following works of mine: West Coast Jazz Summit (1995) Pure Imagination (1998) Cleopatra's Dream (2002) The Great Composers We Love (2003) Blue Trane (2004) Blue Monk (2005)
Hi!!! I was checking what was on at the village vanguard for a friend who's in New York and I saw that you were playing; I googled you, and literally fell in love with the way you play Monk here! I'm really jealous of my friend, she's getting to see you live!!! If you ever come by London, I'll be there, I promise! (Hopefully you'll be at Ronnie's Scott, love that place so much!)
Bravo pour ce pianiste merveilleux. Tout est d'une qualité parfaite.Un de mes "Monk" préféré, joué sur un piano parfaitement enregistré. On aimerait en écouter un peu plus.
Eric, you are such a master, I wrote you that you are on a level with Kenny Barron (my favorite pianist) or Hank Jones and you said no but while I am hearing that I must say yes, you are and you are better than them in some way!!!! My personal opinion!

Thanks for sharing. Beautiful
Eric plays the piano with such ease the runs, chords and arpeggios are so pricise.
Thank you. It's harder for me than it looks.

Yeah? How so? I've never been a big fan of Mozart, so, I'd be curious to understand your point of view.
