The Almafi COAST is beautiful, but the cities of Almafi or Positano are just crowded noisy tourist traps with a bad value for your money. We had a WAY better experience in smaller & more charming places like Ravello, Vietri, Vico Equense, Minori & Maori👌
I'm from Salerno (the city where amalfi coast starts) and i must say that the locals, at least the most clever ones, they keep away from amalfi coast during the summer season, especially in the weekends. Driving there it's a nightmare, endless traffic lines, high probability of finding parking lots full (and if they are not you have to pay a lot), the last time i went to positano from salerno it took me 3 hours. Amalfi coast is nice during the spring season and autumn. In april, may, september, october and sometimes even november is still hot to swim and enjoy the place.
Please go! Avoid the peak season where there is crowding late June - September. Late September - October and March - April are great. If you have trouble with inclines stay in Sorrento and use that as your starting point to visit towns along the Amalfi Coast and Capri. The bus from Amalfi to Ravello is well worth the trip. The views from this amazing cliff town are gasp inducing!
I rate Amalfi coast at 💯 I went in July, the crowds were not as bad as people make it. I got around quick and efficiently using taxis that were abundant. The stairs well gives you a workout. If you don’t like walking it won’t be for you. But I had the best time of my life. And the views are even more stunning in person, breathtaking.
So….I just came from here and now in Rome. I went to Capri, and other ferry ports in the area. Taxis are ALWAYS available and cost around 20-30 euro to be taken most places, one way, on the island. Ferries come and go every 15 mins, and are always available with piles of seats available. Avoid buses as they are extremely crowded due to the very very low cost (2.5 euro sometimes one way). You’ll be right up on someone the entire 20 min ride on a bus. Almost every time I got a taxi, it was instant and I didn’t have to wait at all. Sure you’ll way more vs a bus, but the taxis on the island are worth it as they are covered convertibles and allow to take piles of pictures riding around the edges of road. The crowds aren’t as bad as you’d think. They are constantly moving so taking things slow and enjoying each area is extremely possible as they’ll just walk around you. Quick day trip to see most of Capri- take a taxi to Anacapri and grab a chair lift to the top of the mountain after you complete a 2-3 hour boat ride around the island. Avoid the restaurants right off the port as they are extremely overpriced and not worth it quality wise. (Read the reviews and avoided)
We went for our honeymoon and hope to go back again one day. What a beautiful place. The lemons, the sea, the scenic landscape, the quirky buildings, the pizza, the gelato, the lack of big brands, the friendly people... ❤
Translation: 1) You have to be around people. 2) You have to, somewhat, exercise. 3) The world no longer revolves around you and is no longer designed for your convenience. What is wrong with Americans bro? Stay in America if you want to stay inside, glued to your phone and have everything delivered to your house so you never have to exercise or socialize with other people.
@@jrrn96 the place is extremely expensive, I’ll admit that off the rip. Taxi/transport is over $100 if you don’t stay along the actual coast, food is affordable and it requires alot of energy to walk in the shops which is in hills (Positano) but only 50% of the restaurants I’ve been to had food that was great, there was more places that were mid than expected, I don’t want just pretty pasta I want meat and flavor
That's really helpful in choosing a holiday destination. Especially the crowds which i rather not experience Whilst on holiday! Shall shortlist for different parts of🇮🇹 :dolomites, italian lakes

I’ve traveled quite extensively throughout Italy, including the Amalfi coast… And even though it’s insanely busy, I am going from August 15 through September 3 although from late August to September I’ll be in Sicily, which will be more relaxing. That’s the key… First you go to the Amalfi coast, see all the beautiful sites… Yes it’s crowded but there are places and times where you could beat the crowds… Most Italians don’t even wake up until around nine or 10 so early morning is a great time to get around and see the sites and stores are open!
In Italy, at several restaurants, we’d be asked, “Are you a guest of the hotel?” We’d respond “no” (because we’d rented an AirBnB) and then the restaurants refused to wait on us. At another restaurant, the owner seated us. We waited for 1/2 hour for someone to take our order, but then the owner announced to everyone, “The kitchen is closed”. At another restaurant, they were out of several entries that we hoped to order. I’d recommend going to a supermarket in Italy to have food readily available.
Look at their salaries and working times and you’ll understand why!!! After that a good 60% of the tourist are rude and very demanding… How you would react? Not an excuse but..
bro please Amalfi is amazing ofc there are these kinds of problems, what did you expect? that it was empty or smt? A LOT OF PPL COME THERE and what did you expect about the stairs? its a town not a freaking ugly city if you want to go to a certain place just use your freaking feet

There is no reason to avoid the Amalfi coast. Suck up the inconveniences and just enjoy one of the most beautiful spots you'll see

You have to go in October. No crowds & all the places are still open. Water & weather are still warm & boatrides & ferries still running. ❤
Damn. Grazie Mille
Great suggestion ❤

Not my experience! The place was amazing ! I would 10/10 recommend
Your video is moving so fast.
Steep hills is how people live long
Exactely
But if you have not long to live , give it a pass😅
What a wonderful village. Colorful and adorable. A pearl of Amalfi-Coast. Amazing! Love Italy. 🇮🇹💓🤗
village? that is a city
It’s the most incredible place!! Lots of walking but felt great getting my exercise in !
There is a reason if so many ppl want to go there.

Guys! I went to the Amalfi Coast and it was THE BEST! Yes, there were a lot of people at some places but it is what it is. Please go!
No to the crowds, I guess off season. I
Just get claustrophobic with so many people, but that’s me. Everybody is different
They filmed The Equalizer 3 here. Amazing movie. I would love to visit here one day.
I agree! Also - never visit anything except your living-room, kitchen and toilet.
So much info to read in seconds.... Could hardly grasp anything
That’s why you pause it….
These Tiktoks are built like this to force us to pause it and accidentally like them
How come you went?
Trip planned for May 2024 with a travel group who lays everything out for you (hotel, restaurants, transportation, English speaking host)
Fab time to go May enjoy its so Beautiful 💕❤
please share your experiences I'm planning May 2025

Bruh travel to Amalfi is literally one of my wishes 💀
still go. i’ve been there and it’s so pretty
Why. Just because you saw it on Instagram...
@@perroverde93 As someone who went there, it is even prettier in person
Its boring AF, there is a billion places in italy that you should go rather than amalfi c

i'm driving there rn and have a hurt leg but too bad i still will go
Slow the reading part down please!
Thats all true but I am going nevertheless! Love the beautiful Amalfi Coast!
Thinking this way it’s better for u to stay at home, because all of these are in every popular place )

Service at restaurants in Italy is awful and the waiters are often rude.

@@luceinbattaglia9425You're right 👍
Growing up in a resort town sometimes you just get worn out from the constant complaining
There is a crowd almost everywhere in the world. 👎🏻
Great found this video after I arrived in amalfi😂
Ya stay home and I will go again, lol
Please visit Italy in June, July and August, so I can enjoy it the other months 😂
and the other 2?
Ridiculous. Daughter was married in Ravello in June. Never experienced anything like your video. Stick to something you know about, if anything.
That must have been a dream like wedding! I loved the views from the Via Rofolo Gardens!
Atrani and Amalfi were incredible in September ✌🏻

Amalfi Coast Travel Guide 2023
sorrento very convenient and easier terrain.
Completely disagree. Went in August, no crowds, stairs are fine, transportation fine
i confused ferries with ferraris🤣

the hills. Maybe if I was younger
Sto io ad Amalfi, tranquilli state a casa!

1&2 ain’t really such a big deal but 3 is so incredibly true!!!!
Excellent info. Thanks

There are MORE reasons to travel there than not and walking thru the towns whether hills or not is one of them!!💪🏼💪🏼❤️❤️👏🏼👍🏼
Some people dont realize there is more people in the world
Thank you!
Stay at home! It's better for us here in Italy 😜
lol yes I will go as well
Thats are not vacation for me overcroud
istanbul be like:
These reasons absolutely suck.
Eine perle im armen haben😅😅😅😅😅❤
Don't go peak season, exercise before visiting, transportation wasn't that difficult, problem solved
Such an American video
These are the same three reasons to NOT VISIT ANYWHERE EVER 😂😂😂
Nice
Go during slow season.
Don’t base your travel plans because of a 10 second reel. If you’d like to go. Go
Omg what a headache
All true nobody should go… because I want it to myself when I go back
This applies to all honeypots
My dad would just call you lazy.
This is bs, stay home
THAT AUDIO OMG
I am a student, I spend 8 hours at school every day and I punctually find tourists on all the buses to go back home. Stay in your countries.
😂

Yeah, don’t bother. Drive to the mall instead.
Man up. Don’t be lazy. Rent a car. Sorted
Man up and rent a car? What kind of man up advice is that? How about man up and walk up and down the hills like a man.. jackass
Eh you should go to abruzzo
Avoid every tourist places. Doesn't make sense.
😂😂😂
Learn the hard way
There are far more beautiful places with fewer people yes. The beaches are crammed, mostly shingle and the taxes ruin it.
Stay home Americans
Then don't bother visiting Disneyland or any other tourist spot for these same reasons. What a pathetic video.
Also overrated Cyprus Greek or turkey is x100 better
Booooooooo‼️‼️‼️
