Wow! So many ASoIaF. Dunk & Egg are my top3 of short fiction. Fire and Blood is the best fake chronicale I ever read. A Feast of Crows and A Dance with Dragons are basically one book split in two due to publishing constraints, so I think You can choose another one spot :)
@@alexs_toy_barn And that's probably because stormlight will actually have an ending. ASOIAF could be up there with tolkien if martin did write the two final books
@@arthurhaag9434 Thanks - i'm starting to get the impression that Mistborn is an easy on-ramp. i've read a lot of fantasy and people are starting to think it's insane that i've never read Sanderson. I think i'll start with Mistborn.
I’m a big fan of Sanderson as an author and I think the way he conducts his business should be studied by anyone aspiring to be a professional author. But if you ask me who the greatest fantasy author is since Tolkien, I’m probably saying GRRM.
I’m impressed with your video about defending Catelyn. If you don’t mind, I would love to see the video defending Daenerys Targaryen as well, because what the show did to her character should be considered a war crime.
100% agree... I believe she did not watch the show so not sure she knows what happened there, but i would be curious to know if she believes (after reading the books) that Danny's character turning villain is something expected/foreseen from the books reading.
So glad you’ve fallen in love w ASOIAF, this year was the first time I’ve read the dunk and egg books and I loved them so much
ASOIAF is my fav series of all time so I totally get it!
I was lucky enough to be reading the series at around the same time you were becoming a ASOIAF channel and it was great!
Yes! But how is Feast on the top? :D
Awesome! They’re all in my top 10 too… every time I reread them they top the list! It’s awesome you’re having so much fun in Planetos.
Have you read any Mark Lawrence books yet?

so have you read the rest of the world of ice and fire yet, and do you plan to read The Rise of The Dragon?
Wondering what's your number 1 favorite series now 🤔
Stormlight
It's still Stormlight

Wheel of time, bookborn --> dragonborn.
Bookborn: "I just want to take this opportunity to apologize to absolutely NOBODY!!! GRRM is the champ!" 😂😂
One of us. One of us. One of us.
The shadow/hunger/fury of the gods by John Gwynne.
Welcome to the club. Where nothing really hits the same as ASOIAF. And I really mean that.
Ive never read any Sanderson. Where should I start??
Original Mistborn trilogy is probably the best place to start
I you have not read much fantasy, mistborn. If you have read quite a bit of fantasy and want his epic huge masterpiece, stormlight archive

@@samforsyth Great choice! Hope you enjoy it as much as I did
That a girl!!! It’s your list, you put on what you want! Not for nothing, those are great books!

Funnily enough Brandon agrees - he said his top five currently living fantasy authors and iirc George was number 1
