Even as a little girl in the early 1980s I loved Master's of the Universe and so I had the He-Man Ben Cooper costume at least 2 years in a row. I think before that my mom might have had me the one of Wonder Woman but it's the He-Man I remember most wearing for like 2 Halloweens and of course it was new costumes each time. The elastic or mask would finally break and the smock costume part I'd outgrow. I remember seeing these costumes at the local Magic Mart Department Store in Dryden, VA before it closed up. Then after I got older I got into vampires and first got the vinyl capes and face paint and then really thought it was something when I found a cheap nylon cape that was by far better for a vampire costume. Oh how I miss the 1980s, if they ever did create a time machine I'd go back to that time, stay there and never ever come back!
That’s so cool! It’s incredible how a simple costume like these can bring us back. I know what you mean about the Time Machine. I remember everything being much more colorful and just happy
Thank you so much for bringing back memories from my childhood 😊. Somehow I always ended up with the "Batman" costume, although I can remember the " Spiderman" version, and one I can only assume was a version of "Venom" ( it was like Spiderman, but with green and yellow). These just plain made Halloween fun..🤗👍❤
I’m glad I could bring back memories :) it’s always nice to go back and reflect on simpler times for us. I’m wondering if that spider-man or venom was symbiote spider-man. :)
Awesome nostalgic look back. I think it's cool that Spirit Halloween has those retro costumes. I had a Superman mask as a kid. But i don't think I had the accompanying vinyl suit.
I saw that they had universal monsters ones but haven’t been released yet. I always wanted to be supes. Maybe one day, there’s others ahead of it… like universal monsters lol
The other day, after looking at some Ben Cooper costumes online, I remembered that I had at least one. It was Roger Rabbit. And even though it said that on the smock, people still thought I was Bugs Bunny. Oh well. lol
I’m not sure if it was an actual Ben Cooper but I went as The Penguin from Batman Returns in Halloween 1992. It was the same style except I borrowed one of my mother’s coat and an umbrella to go with it. :)

Same here! I wish I had them. I don’t remember if they were Ben Cooper, but the same style for sure

The animal ones always got the same treatment lol!
Two of my favorite UA-camrs, Ruby Bandit and Pixel Dan, both put out videos on Ben Cooper on the same day. An awesome double feature for me
That’s crazy! I’ll have to check his out
