Here in the Pacific northwest, this house would be at least 1.5 million
It’s a strange yet interesting house. At first, the roof to the left looks crooked and it looked a bit dilapidated at first. Inside it’s weird but also very different design. The layout is so strange yet….it works. I would update/change the colors a bit in kitchen and bathroom.

Martin, you would need a water and septic permit to build another dwelling but there is space and potential. I would guess the pond is 40’ or so across. This particular property is under contract but let us know if we can help you in your search!

Extremely dated dwelling. Those baseboard heaters are terrible. Not a heating bill I would want to pay. Add the cost of firewood now on top of the electric heat. No thanks. The dated looking interior is a total put off also. Someone would spend a fortune buying that place then have to sink just as much into renovations.

I look at a home like this with all the angles on the roof and I wonder what kind of insulation it has. Logs really suck in northern climates as wood only has an R value of less than 2 per inch. An 8” wall would only have R-16 which is inadequate these days. Also logs are high maintenance and not airtight. Every few years the logs have to be treated versus a painted house can go for 15-20 years with good paint. Our 8” walls are R-40.

@@Chris_at_Home You can see the exterior has had no maintenance and needs it badly. 8 inch walls would be quite uncommon in VT. As a professional painter with 40 years experience, I can say no exterior paint on a home in VT is lasting any where near 15 years.
