- The electric Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo comes as standard with the additional Gravel mode driving programme for journeys on light off road terrain such as gravel tracks or muddy road surfaces. In this mode, the ride height is raised by 30 millimetres compared with the saloon. Gravel mode also influences the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), Porsche Traction Management (PTM), Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV+) and Porsche Stability Management (PSM) chassis systems, as well as the rear-axle transmission. The shift operations of the latter are optimised to ensure maximum traction. The car’s throttle characteristics have also been designed specially for off-road driving in terms of power delivery and control precision.

Wow this car is a masterpiece. Had chills just looking at the exterior shots. My favourite part is the rear with these beautiful hips and large wheels.
A pet peeve of mine are the rear wipers on these cars, because it just looks wrong. Some automakers hide them under the rear spoiler, so they swing downwards. So I’ve always wondered why automakers don’t use this more often?
yep, these rims and tires are perfect for offroading.

You can't put bigger tyres because the brake discs are like 19". You would need to swap old and shitty brakes in order to fit something like 225/65/17 from BF Goodrich

I believe it is for the ones who want something other than a SUV that can handle light gravel without to much movement in the cockpit. Plus the lower ride height which in some cases easy to get into.

Offroad is not rock crawling put that in your head mate. Thats also why the audi allrad and volvo v60 country exist, even the subaru outback.

I absolutely love the sound of the tyres going off road. Quite strange to have no engine noise to accompany it but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Ground clearance is very low for offroading but design is awesome.
Remember those Audi A6 offroad wagon and that Volvo estate offroad variant? Think of it like that. They are handy, seen a lot of British countryside folk buy them up in their day.

Hey im just happy about a general-appeal station wagon.
They look so much better and sleeker than suv´s while having basically the same practicality.
If it takes a stupid lift-mode to aooeal to the suv bzuyers because they "might hit light gravel once per year" then im good with that. doesnt change the fact that the taycan, despite the comically large wheels, looks amazing.

@ 1:10 Porsche must have found it hard to put up the gauges, this being electric 😅 Previously, gauges were fuel Level, oil temp, oil level, RPM, speedo, multi function display..
