There was this one game In 90s called Mortal Kombat. In which A character name Sindel (a very side character) who is a queen of a realm where her husband is now a fallen king. The person who defeated her husband decided to marry her and takeover the realm. But instead she sacrificed her own life and casted a spell which will protect her daughter from the tyrant and other realms (so they don’t face the same problem which her own realm did) this was one of the most beautiful writing for such a minor character and back then we didn’t even cared about whether she was male or female she just instantly became one of fan favourite. This days writers are forgetting what makes a character good and they are just forcing us the whole thing to accept something which we don’t want to
