EXACTLY. It's a joke that this one was promoted to principal dancer. It sure does help when one has a sponsor sitting on the ABT board, right? This one apparently thinks broken wrists are classical. It may skate by in a modern ballet or a Balanchine ballet (not really) but in classical dance it's downright ugly. This is such an easy fix, the fact that she won't do it indicates she has no taste, no concept of the basic philosophy of the art form and she simply doesn't care. Not only that, look at the arms thrown every which way. This is what we have to suffer in NYC come spring season. This one and the Copeland disaster are pushed for two or more performances in every major ballet and they are the ones who LEAST deserve opportunities. Again, it's nice when you have a sponsor currently sitting on the ABT board. Right?
Kerry Takashi Broken wrists are very popular in American companies. If you compare this to Russian dancers, you will obviously see a difference because the styles between the two are very different. You have no right to accuse Isabella of getting promoted undeservedly just because you don’t understand stylistic choices in ballet.
@@larryslove8906 NO. Broken wrists are NOT popular in American companies. How many have you seen dance? This person is the ONLY one in ABT who lets her wrists droop and arms fly all over. Because she has been nothing but indulged by her Sponsor and the ABT director by being inundated with opportunities she does not deserve. This is an easy fix and the fact that she doesn't do it indicates a gross disrespect to the art and the patrons who love dance. I've watched ABT for many, many years. BELIEVE this one did not deserve to be promoted.
Absolutely gorgeous, both of them are great
Beautiful dance number! Ballet is so graceful. Mad respect for anyone who can dance on their tip toes all day long. Ouch!
This pas de deux is beautiful, albeit melancholy.
The tutu is my favorite from ABT !
Adoro a Isabella como siente la danza!!El es muy bueno tmb.!!!!Aplausos
Wow! Talk about chemistry.
Watch Darci bussell. She is amazingly beautiful.
Would love to see more duets with them- they are well matched. Since she is a well known prima ballerina this is good exposure for him.
Matthew Golding is so perfect !!!
Absolutely gorgeous and that tutu is divine, girl I know you love him.... great piece, to die for
I never heard this music before to this pas. It's so pretty.
