Cheers so much the best demo and explanations so far 😊❤
thanks! appreciate it
I'm going to a safari in June, any recommendation filter for that? I'm using the galaxy s23 ultra. And do you use the regular camera app or the expert raw mode?
Thanks.
I need for S23 🔥🔥🔥
Is there version for s21u?
when using anamorphic lenses you need to turn off the image stabilization
Yes that definitely helps
Hey!! Thinking to buy 🤔 these amazing nd filters for my S23 but can you tell which freewell filters would be great for cooking videos and landscape videography. Hoping for the advice thanks😅
for outdoors I would go with an ND filter, maybe in different strenghts and indoor you don't really need anything. Maybe a diffusion filter
Can you share what you are using for a handle for the phone? It appears also to have controls on it. Thanks
It‘s also from freewell, currently out of office, I am sure you‘ll see the grip there :)
Can we use wide angle lens in pro mode with 21:9 cinematic ratio instead of anamorphic lens?
You can, but you won‘t get the same image. Anamoprhic changes the look of your image completely. It squeezes the image and that‘s why you get a widescreen look
Thank you for sharing. Superb filters.
Thanks for watching
Loved your videos and your work and content mind blowing with smartphones bro ❤
Thanks a ton
Cool
Hey do you think its usefull to use some of the Lenses or Filters Livestreaming with the S23 Ultra ?
And What is youre favorit Gimbal for the Phone at the Moment like under 200-250 dollar.
Do you know if there is any way to Charge my S23 Ultra at the same time while using the Rode Wireless Go
Thank youi so much
for an indoor setting? I don't think it's needed to be honest! we have tons of gimbal videos on the channel, please check them out! :) And no I don't think you can charge the phone whilst using a mic
What settings must I have to achieve that movie look when creating videos for my Samsung s23 Ultra?
Check out this video for that: How to Shoot Cinematic B Roll with Galaxy S23 Ultra - 5 Pro Tips
ua-cam.com/video/5ZZvMTJjFjE/v-deo.html
I couldn't help but notice you had a, what looks like a phone/ camera grip mounted on the bottom end of your phone.
This I'm almost certain would give more control when using camera mode.. Would I be correct regarding this? If yes, where would one purchase this tool from?
yes I did! This is also from Freewell, just click the link in the description, there you can find all their stuff :)
Could you suggest the best option among these filters for indoor product videography?
Not sure if you need anything for indoor product videos, lighting is the most important part there
@@smartphonefilmmakingpro Thanks a lot, I appreciate it.
Hi sir best camera iphone vs Samsung
Really cool video! I am trying to film a music video for my music, and what ND filter number would you recommend for outside on a sunny day? They have all in a package but they also sell the ND1000 and the ND 128 alone...would one of these two serves for my purpose? Or the CPL would work better for a music video?
thanks! I cannot answer that question unfortunately, it depends.. bright is not the same as bright.. it also depends on the angle you film, the shutterspeed, framerate.. there's a reason why they have so many different options. CPL is the best option if you film through windows or a car or something like this.. I know this is probably not the answer you expected, but there is no "one size fits all" answer, sorry
@@smartphonefilmmakingpro I am completely amateur when it come to filming, it's going to be my first try, so I have no idea what I am doing 🤣 would you recommend some configuration on my galaxy s23 ultra? I am filming on a tulip field, in the morning....any tips would be really appreciated! Thank you!
i hope i can buy them one day
I could use some recommendations for my 24 Ultra. A lens I should use for backpacking and outdoors. I want to capture wide pictures to show the views or videos.
I would use the ultra wide angle lens built in and maybe get some nd filters
0:31 What is the brand of the stabilizer that appears in the video, I looked in the posted links and I don't know what it is, thank you very much
there you go: amzn.to/3PV9Int
is it worth using any filters for indoors shooting?
100%
Can I purchase this in india?
What camera phone grip product are you using?
Also from Freewell, link is in the description
6:00 is just wow!!! not to mention that ND filter makes your phone stand out lol
You are the best☺
Thanks so much
Hi where Can i find theses lenses please and what is the name of the thing in your hand that you put your phone in ?
Thanks
link is in the description
Who know where can i find this accesories in Colombia?
Hey what grip are you using at 0:59 ? is it only for iphone ?
that'S the grip from Freewell, it was designed for iPhone, but also works great with the S23. Helps a lot with ergonomics
When i use the native camera not blurry but when i use filmic pro blurry?....maybe you can help..
Thanks
Sorry I don‘t understand the question
@@smartphonefilmmakingpro
Sorry, with the Anamorphic lens
What time of filter can I use In the gym for a cinematic look for this phone???
it depends on how much light you have
@smartphonefilmmakingpro ok so will the nd filters help? La fitness not to bright but but not dim either. Just average lighting for a standard gym
can a circular ND be stacked onto the CPL?
no, unfortunately no stacking
What model Canon is that filming you?
r5c
Is there any option to put nd filter for smartphone? There's iphone filter adapter but can it fit for s23 ultra?
We provide our filters for both iPhones and Samsung S23 Ultra without the need for any adapters. The primary purpose of designing this system was to eliminate the use of cumbersome and often ill-fitting adapters. Additionally, there are substantial differences between the camera systems of iPhones and Samsung devices, making the use of adapters impractical and inefficient.
@@FreewellGear i would like to buy your product but in amazon jp i can't find the s23 ultra case but there's the filter only and the price 2 times than the original price
wich nd filter is the most used , 8/16/32/64/128
depends on where you live! probably the 16 for me
Could you please make a comparison between the new freewell sherpa 2.0 lenses and filters and the new shiftcam ultra lenses and filters thank you
I will try my best!
What is the name of the grip you are using at minute 0:24 , could you please tell me?
that's the one from freewell. Link to all the gear is in the description
except freewell case which lens mount is suitable for the lens
Only Freewell case is suitable for Freewell lenses & filters.
Are the t series lens from moment fit to the freewell case?
I‘m afraid not!
@@smartphonefilmmakingpro did you ever try it? Cause i want to buy
What was the camera grip he was using in this video called?
it's from Freewell, link is in the video description (Full video on that is coming soon)
If i will ask question .S22 ultra for low light in cities or iphone 13 mini pro ?
I didn't know there is a 13 mini pro ;) both great, just use what you have :)
Are these filters stackable?
No, unfortunately not
👍
Hello. Great job. Which lenses could me help to filming in nightclubs?
Depends on where the videos will end up?
99% of these videos are for instagram.
Are the lens future proof? Meaning if new s24 comes out, the lens will work if i just buy a new case?
Pretty sure yes!
Bro try motioncam one time. Lets u record raw dng videos from android phone
What for? Don‘t need that to be honest
@@smartphonefilmmakingpro provides a lot better quality than normal camera app. Similar to Apple's Prores recording
From what I saw in the video, it looks like you were only using the anamorphic lens on the S23 main camera. I have an S23 Ultra and wonder if the anamorphic lens will work with the 3x and 10x cameras as well.
it does work with the rest ;)
can you clip s23 ultra cpl filter on nd ?
No stacking.
nice
Thanks
@@smartphonefilmmakingprosorry, does it work with s22 ultra
Can you stack filters? ND + Mist?
No, not possible
Is DJI OM6 compatible with that?
Thank you
I would not use the OM6 with that setup.. go with a bigger, stronger gimbal. Plenty of videos are on the channel
Glad I saw this. Do you have a camera lens protector over your camera lenses? I do. I want to buy the kit, but will the case still allow me to screw the cpl and anamorphic lenses on with my lens protectors added, or should I remove them?
Glad it helped :) I don‘t have any protector over my lenses. You can attatch nd/pl filters to the front of the anamorphic lens for example. I am not 100% sure I understand the question correct
You can buy Camera rings for the 23ultra which covers each individual lens on the phone and acts as protection, similar to a tempered glass screen protector for the front screen (Whitestone Dome camera ring protector) It does a great job protecting the lenses but it also raises the height and slightly increases the circumference of each of the 5 cameras when installed because they actually 'cover' each camera. Most cases for the s23 ultra fits perfectly around the entire camera cutout, but some cases don't fit with the added ring protectors. So essentially, I'm asking if the freewell case is compatible, allowing me to keep the camera protector on each lens and still be able to attach the screw on cpl and anamorphic lenses? I hope I'm explaining it right.
@@kgee221 Do not use such protections for lenses. They are usually made of cheap plastics (even expensive ones) and reduce the optical performance. The glass that phones come with are already very tough, and you should not need any extra protection. A simple case is more than enough.
Great explanation of them all! I clicked on your video because I was having trouble (I’m old🥹) mounting my new Galactic filter to my Ultra and didn’t want to break it through forcing it.
When I saw your Apple phone, I thought I wouldn’t learn anything but then you changed and instantly showed the Galactic.
I ended up staying and watching your entire video and enjoyed your concise tutorial of what every filter did and NO BACKGROUND MUSAC!! Woohoo!😉
New subscriber. 👍🦘
🏅
Awesome! Thank you!
Hey. We watch you take these videos with this new lenses but not much of what you shot... Why?. What a piece of work....
have you watched the opening of the video? This was shot with these filters and lenses
Is it compatible with the s22 ultra?
Sir please give me the link of that Cover , which holds the lens
check out the video description the cover is just the phone case
Just ordered a ND64 (6 stop) filter as my first ND filter.
That might be a bit strong for day to day usage, but just give it a shot :) have fun!
@@smartphonefilmmakingpro I read several reviews on the internet and they all said the ND64 was the most popular filter. Also, daylight here in China is very strong. (I often find it very hard to read the screen of my iPhone 12pm in daylight!!!)
If it's too strong I can always order a weaker one.
@@WillNewcomb absolutely! You‘re right there
Do freewell nd filters also work for samsung s22 ultra?
Did you ever got the answear
Can anyone suggest best gimbal for Samsung galaxy s 23 ultra
Hohem m6
Not available india i need these filters
Looks like the stabilization does some weird skewing on the image with the anamorphic lens. So, better disable stabilization before shooting anamorphic.
yeah - it's fighting a bit with each other
how to get in India
Suggest the Best macro lens in Mobile
I guess the one from sandmarc the 100mm is my favourite
@@smartphonefilmmakingpro cheap and best macro lens sugges bro
Freewell advised me they will be releasing more lenses for their mount in last quarter of the year, may include a macro.
i own the s23 ultra, and often i find videos shot on it to be wobbly... or 'watery'... is this some setting i need to turn off? like 'stabilize'? it's really frustrating! in your video at 2:05 it does it... but i'm not even using the anamorphic filter!
for me this happened when shooting with the anamorphic lens as the IBIS is fighting with the internal of the lens.. You get it with the ultrawide angle only right?
Does Freewell have cases, filters and lenses for S22 Ultra??
I am afraid they don‘t. Sorry!
this filters is only useful in daylight?
the cloud diffussion is also very helpful in dark environments
I wish they woukd make a variable ND filters.
maybe in the future!
03:15 - Do you or do you not understand the MAIN purpose of using CPL filter? For people who want to fully understand: look and the windows on right in 03:27
YES. This polarization function is to block reflections of light on any object. Another example of using this cool feature is to "see trough water". Look at water in the lake or pool in sunny day, you will see bottom and. If you have fish in lake, you will see them swimming too.
thanks for the feedback! yes I am very familiar with all of these features :)
amazing video, can u share the editing software/app you use? also do you use gimbal
thanks! check this out: smartphonefilmmakingpro.com/premium-capcut-masterclass-or
2:00 Could you please comment on the wobbly effect when filming with the anamorphic? It looks like it would render that lens unusable for, you know, anything other than still photography, fixed point filming, or otherwise, extremely slow moving. Honest thoughts?
It's a shame this wasn't mentioned in the review. And it's a shame Freewell don't directly address it either. It's a legitimate issue and it ruins the footage. The only way to address it is to turn off video stabilisation in the Camera settings on the S23 Ultra, and to also use a gimbal. There is another youtuber Steven Divish who covered this in this video ua-cam.com/video/UW71uJCgQyE/v-deo.html . I bought this anamorphic lens and also a Hohem M6 gimbal. I can confirm it really helps, however it's still not as smooth as leaving video stabilisation turned on in the Camera settings - Samsung have done an amazing job with their built in stabilisation and it's a shame we have to turn it off to get usable footage with this lens
@@ezekiel884 thank you so much for replying to my question, I really appreciate that! And yeah, I've noticed that free well replied to all comments except mine... I'm not here to bash on anyone but to try to understand better ways to make great video work. I wonder what exactly causes the wobliness. Do you think bigger lens would solve it? Finally, is it to much to ask to share since video experimentais.
the wobbly effects mainly happen when you film handheld with image stabilisation turned on, you could either use a gimbal (which I did for the final shots, there was no wobbly issue) or also use a tripod. You could also try to turn of the is, but this will usually end up with shaky footage.. this btw has nothing to do with their lenses, this is the natura when adding any lenses in front of a smartphone lens. Hope this helps :)
Turning off the stabilisation helps with it
Is this compatible with s22 ultra?
Good question, you need to ask Freewell directly, I don‘t know that sorry
it's nuts how much better the iphone 15 pro max videos look wtf
i hope to get mine soon!
It's just a shame samsung don't let you turn off that over sharpening though i think you can do that in filmic pro
You can turn down the sharpness there yes
How ?
Hi has anyone had any problems with the lenses at all? like scratching the lens on the phone and the phone it's self? I am going to be filming some stuff for my daughter and want to take it to the next level with the quality of the footage. I would love it if someone can help me make up my mind and minimise the risk of damaging my phone (Samsung S23 Ultra) thank you for any help.
I have the s23 ultra and was wondering what app or program did you use to desqeeze the video?
In this video I've used Permiere Pro to desqeeze the footage. But you can also use a free editing software like DaVinci Resolve.
Does it works in all S23s? Mine is the normal version
You need to check if they have a case for it
That dang deer
Nice Video ,the problem I'm having is when sending videos I lose 50% of the quality
how do you send the videos?
Via watsapp? It shrinks the image quality
Its unavailable in india, can you please gift me those lenses, even i hold a s23 ultra
I really don't like the widescreen look with black bars. For me it just wastes available monitor space.
But I wish freewell would produce a 1.33x anamorphic lens. This way I could record in 4:3, which would be the same as the sensor size and then get 16:9 out of it, including the cinematic effect.
It‘s not wasted as you are using the entire sensor with an anamorphic lens, you even get more screen real estate compared to not using it.
Yes true, that the 1.55x lens can do aswell as the 1.33x. I just don't like the black bars.
@@ricl11if you think about it, the black bars only come based on how you post-edit and where you upload. The black bars only exist because the screen you're watching on. I can get black bars even when using 16:9 if then watched on a 4:3 screen..
but first i need to change the case? i like my speck case.
Yeah, you need to use the freewell case
I tried ordering these filters from usa and it’s priced tripled
Looks great but it's expensive
Yeah I agree
Agree, but still bought it...
~500€ for kit... why are prices so high? I don't understand.
lots of glass inside, high quality, magnets
03:58 - This is bad place/moment to use this (Mist) filter and present it. You should totally change place and time to show full capabilities this kind of filter.
I guess it didn't have enough cameras already..
These are just add ons, no new cameras 😉
🫡💪🏾
I need this , how i buy and dlivery to kurdistan/iraq !?
Wondering the same...what can us older model S22 Ultra users have for ND filter, etc?😂
that doesn't work unfortunately! I am afraid you will have to use clamp on filters
Freewell offers no gear for iPhone 12., so I’ll pass
Very costly
all the good stuff, but it is useless with the oversharpened videos from the smartphones. Especially when you want to make any kind of films.
Have you tried the diffussion filter?
I've never been a fan of filtered footage.
What do you mean?
That lens flare was horrible. It looked like someone drew a yellow line across your video.
that's the goal of an anamorphic lens
@smartphonefilmmakingpro I don't want to seem like I'm hating on Freewell. I like their magnetic case design and wish more of their filters supported it. I wish there was a way to make the mounting system work with lenses, too, allowing you to freely switch cameras on demand. With that said, there was nothing cenamatic looking about the lens flare shown in your video. It looked like someone took a giant oversized yellow marker and drew a line on the screen.
