Combination of 2 of my favourite artsists. Such a great song, if you like this sort of thing look up Jully Chirstmas and Cult of Luna, Marriages (Emma Ruth Rundel) and also Lingua Ignota
It's been a while(actually probably 15 years) since i've last seen them but they're(Converge) one of the best live bands i've ever seen.
This album was a 50/50 collaboration between Converge and Chelsea Wolfe.
Converge might be a bit much to check out as they're math/chaotic metalcore/hardcore which is not this.
They're usually very fast, chaotic, aggressive and technical... might be worth a check out as they're pioneers in the scene.
Emma Ruth Rundle who you've also checked out and is similar across her solo career to Chelsea has collaborated with other more extreme/heavy bands too. Like her recent collaboration album with the doom/sludge metal band Thou.
There are definitely some parallels with ERR and her various projects! Check out Emma Ruth Rundle & Thou - The Valley for a different take on a similar collab!
This is such a great album. Top 3 of 2021. Amazing collab. Ginger's face throughout was classic. And yes Chelsea is scary, in a "she'll devour yor soul if you make eye contact for too long kind of way."

I agree, she is dark, terrifying and beautiful, i am a huge fan of hers and when you have the time the song "Oui Oui Marie" is another example of her talent as a singer and guitararist.
Jane Doe was the most brutal album I ever heard when it first came out. It blew my mind with how heavy and relentless it was
Love the mix of Doom and Black Metal with some gothic undertones from a band that was more hardcore back in the day
converge is one of the most creative metalcore band of all time, nice reaction!
I loved every moment of that. I need a daily dose of Chelsea. I’ve enjoyed the Converge colabs, I think you would also like Blood Moon and Scorpion’s Sting. From Chelsea I liked to 16 Psyche daily.

was wondering how this was gonna go. glad yall could appreciate it as is. converge can/will be a bit much if you dont know them.
I browsed the comments and saw nothing but people talking about Converge. No mention of Mike & Gingers reaction.
So, regarding their reaction, it makes me feel warm and fuzzy. It’s funny how obvious it is that they loved it. Ginger was pretty vocal about her feelings toward it. But they’re keeping a lot of the excitement bottled up.
When Converge blasts into that last part, that’s intense shit. And they genuinely loved it. 🔥
Enjoyed the darkness of that. When that first dropped, it had such a satisfying feel to it.
