I did marriage with my choice and soon after i realized that my husband has really got himself into a life time challange. My mother in law and his family expectations actually increased so despite of being showing any love or giving any gift to me he started giving all these things to his family to balance his love marriage and taking me as an understanding partner. Absolutely hit the nail Professor sahab. In this age, we need more mentors like you who provide guidance with practical solutions. Most of the advice in our culture- even though with good intention, is centred around changing the other person. This is not the correct way to approach the issues in married life. What you said about changing oneself instead of changing the other is the best way forward. Communication is imperative. Acceptance of the present and living in the past/resentment can not go hand in hand. For a marriage to work, MIND + BODY + SOUL must work in harmony and in peace.

Your videos are mentor for me, unfortunately I am married to narcist, I am never good enough for him nothing is up to his standards. I learnt with time I cant change him, I can only change my own self and self develop myself. I was very depressed but I try and pray to Allah to make me mentally, emotionally and financially strong. What I realized some ppl will never change there attitude until they have to suffer the consequences. I cant communicate with him, he shuts down when I have to talk, its always his way or high way. I made myself strong enough to tell him, either stay or go separate ways. He doesn't want separation but he doesn't want to give up to change me, he keeps telling me I have to do things up to his standards. Sad but its very suffocating, I think I am a Soteli biwi 🙂. I do request sir to talk abt ppl with behaviour issues and how to deal with them.

ALLAH doesn't tell us to get married to suffer and he gives us right of khula, I dont want that as I have teen age kids but I chose not to suffer cause of him, I told him he is welcome to find any one else which will be up to his standards!

I did marriage with my choice and soon after i realized that my husband has really got himself into a life time challange. My mother in law and his family expectations actually increased so despite of being showing any love or giving any gift to me he started giving all these things to his family to balance his love marriage and taking me as an understanding partner. So now my medical check ups after kids which he afford are a gift. He fullfills my responsibilities and thinks its love. Not every person can realize these talks professor sb. It requires courage and accepatance of new relationships. Absolutely hit the nail Professor sahab. In this age, we need more mentors like you who provide guidance with practical solutions. Most of the advice in our culture- even though with good intention, is centred around changing the other person. This is not the correct way to approach the issues in married life.
What you said about changing oneself instead of changing the other is the best way forward. Communication is imperative. Acceptance of the present and living in the past/resentment can not go hand in hand.
For a marriage to work, MIND + BODY + SOUL must work in harmony and in peace.

Your videos are mentor for me, unfortunately I am married to narcist, I am never good enough for him nothing is up to his standards. I learnt with time I cant change him, I can only change my own self and self develop myself. I was very depressed but I try and pray to Allah to make me mentally, emotionally and financially strong. What I realized some ppl will never change there attitude until they have to suffer the consequences. I cant communicate with him, he shuts down when I have to talk, its always his way or high way. I made myself strong enough to tell him, either stay or go separate ways. He doesn't want separation but he doesn't want to give up to change me, he keeps telling me I have to do things up to his standards. Sad but its very suffocating, I think I am a Soteli biwi 🙂. I do request sir to talk abt ppl with behaviour issues and how to deal with them.
@Makeup by asma yes what i learnt over time is to live my life and do what please me, have my job and kids and live the way I like, he chose not to be happy to complain day in day out, then thats his choice I am not the one who should suffer cause of his mental glitches!, yes he isn't happy with that then that's his problem! ALLAH doesn't tell us to get married to suffer and he gives us right of khula, I dont want that as I have teen age kids but I chose not to suffer cause of him, I told him he is welcome to find any one else which will be up to his standards!
