I just brought a set of these (2.0) and was pleasantly surprised with the sound and build quality. Fantastic value and look really nice.
Glad you like them!
You kind of became my go to reviewer. Your reviews are excellent . You cover everything I need each time and you do it very well, explaining on point. Thank you!
I appreciate that! Thank you :-)

Lol I doubt it but if he even knew I existed I would count myself blessed 😀
@@mikesunboxing We’ll see if you know he exists in 5 years
Lol 😂
Thanks so much for a clear and concise review! A refreshing change from the typical “yell it to sell it” and obnoxious nonsensical dialogue that you often come across.
Glad it was helpful and thanks for watching!
Just bought these and they are great! And they can go from great to awesome if you use an equalizer. I downloaded the free Equalizer APO and it was just what they needed. I can only recommend people using that. They sound awesome now :)
Thanks for the review!
Glad you like them! and thanks for the heads up on the equalizer
Thanks Mike for the review. I was thinking about speakers for my laptop.
Thanks for watching
I just got the Creative Pebble V3 and these desktop speakers are by far the best ones I've ever heard. I don't know how similar they are to the Creative Pebble V2's, but what I can say is that the audio in Mike's video doesn't truly do the speakers justice (no offense to Mike). Great review!
thanks appreciate it , and looking forward to trying them for myself
You need more than a lapel mic to pic up the nuance.
good video - the review with a lot of information in a pleasant presentation style! ty!
Glad you liked it! appreciate the feedback
i really dont know why anyone would put a dislike, this guy is actually entertaining
Lol thanks 🙏
They look good - but the lack of a headphone socket is a bit of a deal-breaker for me.
A headphone socket would be a great addition
Not seeing them on Amazon. Price? USD? // Found them. You saved me $10. Thanks mate.
Glad I could help
Is it worth spending an extra $10 for the V2 compared to the older model? I just need it for some casual gaming and movies and I won't be listening to it above 50% volume.
no the first version will be as good for less money
@@mikesunboxing Great! One more query, is there any other better speaker under $40? J wah thinking about either the pebble or the Logitech Z207. Or do you have anything else you would suggest?
@@mikesunboxing Simply Unbox It Is the V2 "louder" or better at any level then the pebbles plus?
@@petermewes4552 Seems like it's really just louder with some minor aesthetic changes
@Neallord but the speaker is using usb 2.0
First, thanks for this review.
I got the 2.1 version recently but I am not really sure about the subwoofer,
and consider to order the V2 since clear mid and highs are a little bit more important to me.
What do you think about this ???
i haven't tried the 2.1 set so difficult to be sure of the crossover point frequency wise, but these are very decent and worth a try
@@mikesunboxing Pity. Same thing here. Got the plus 2.1 and now wondering, if the V2 would have been the better choice, since the woofer... simply suc*s or feels more like a pr gag. It likely made of paper or recycled trasg... :)
thank you, great detail review!
Thanks for watching!
Quite a great deal for what you get! A bit more expensive in Canada (big surprise) at CAD$45.73, but certainly not unreasonable. Thanks for the great review, Mike!
Thanks sky appreciate your feedback as always 😇
I quite like these style of speaker and the way they angle the sounds straight at you is genius although when you move of axis the sound stage is still good
Where did you find it at that price? Amazon is selling them at around 66
@@akashnair5024 Canada Computers has them for 39.99 atm
I notice there is a subwoofer version. If I choose, can I later purchase a subwoofer to connect to these?
No sorry it doesn’t work like that
the V2 is black only, right? the white ones were with normal usb I think..
i think you are right
Creative Pebble 2.0 V2 vs Creative Stage Air , which is better for a laptop?
probably the 2.0 in my opinion, but the bluetooth with the air might be better for less cables
Seems like they haven't come out with a white version of the v2?
not seen one yet
Thanks for great review Mike. Wonder if you could provide a little more advice? I'm still rocking an old Trust 14990 2.1 system, but it's had it's days so I'm looking to replace with an affordable set until I can grab some A2+'s. These seem like the best sound quality option under £50 but I'm afraid I'm going to miss the bass that my 2.1 provided despite being old it still had an RMS of 12 compared to the pebbles 4.4. (Specifically looking at the original model as my setup is white). What do you think? Have you personally heard the difference between these and a 2.1 system? Thanks
I use a creative four point surround set in 2.1 mode and the difference is a lot but they were three times the price but for the money the little pebbles are decent but won’t rock you
@@mikesunboxing Wow, wasn't expecting a reply that quick! Fair enough though, I appreciate the straight talk. Might keep looking then. I'll for sure be coming back for some more reviews.
@@ChakraWielder thanks appreciate that
Hey Mike. Just watched this video and the one you did on the T10's. How would you say they compare sound wise?
t10 is better by quite a margin, but they are mains powered so that is expected
Aaaaand purchased.
hope you enjoy them
Pebble v2 or Pebble Plus 2.1? Thanks
still not tried the 2.1 version but hopefully will at some point
Mike please tell me …
Which is better ?
Creative pebble 2.0 (first version) or V2
Only Compare with this two model
v2 is better and possibly louder
@@mikesunboxing thank you
@@juderapheal No problem :-)
And now there's V3 with bluetooth and USB-C (audio plus power with only one usb-cable). Just bought them from Creative shop to upgrade from my Pebble V1. These are really great speakers for the price, have no reason to buy anything better for my PC.
I’m thinking of getting the they are 25 at the moment on Amazon. Would u recommend this for a gaming setup, and is everything I need included in the box?
@@ixpert9282 For gaming you might want something with more bass but these work for games too. Everything you need is included in the box.
might have to take a look at those
@@mikesunboxing Have you reviewed the V3 yet? Iooked at you videos but can't find one. I've just ordered as in Aust the higher price gets me free shipping whereas I would pay shipping on the V2. So that means I only pay another $4 more for the V3. Would love to hear your views of V3 while I wait for it to arrive! If you get this reply after all this time! 😁
can you plug usb and 3.5mm jack right into monitor and use it that way as i have speakers connected to tv already
the USB is for power only, so you can plug the 3.5mm into anything you like and it will work
Which one should I buy? Which has more bass?
the v2 as it is also louder
Can connect it with the phone charger?
Is that dangerous for the speaker? ⚠️
Not really any usb power source will be okay
Can you plug these into a monitor with a 3.5 jack and into a wall??
usb mains power yes that works
That intro music... lol you really need to use other music.
These are a great price and look nice to.
Yes time for a musical revamp I think ☝️
Hope Creative changes the bronze colour on speaker to black or grey. The bronze wouldnt go well with my PC setup.
i doubt it will happen but agree it would make the set more widely suited to various setups
What pc case is the one behind you?
in win 101c - lovely case i miss it now
Hopefully someone responds, but I was wondering if were to use these on my monitor, would they be good for matching movies, like are they loud enough?
for the money they are good, but to enjoy a movie as the director intended you might need to spend a little more money
Health affect ?
sorry i'm not sure what that is referring to?
Just ordered these from newegg waiting for them to ship out. How would you say the gaming experience with these will be? Seems like the highest rated speakers in my price range so I went for it. I mostly play singleplayers by the way (if that's any help)
they are very nice little speakers and you should find them very good
Mike's unboxing, reviews and how to Thank you kindly! I personally have to say i admire you're dedication to everyone. Even though this video is 6 months old you still answered my question minutes ago! I wish you all the best friend!
Are you sure the behavior of this speaker is not different when connected to USB C vs USB-A Adaptor, the USB standard can deliver more power, so distortion may be different if hooked up to "Real" USB-C.
the power delivery is better and there is an increase in loudness but it is quite minimal to me
@@mikesunboxing Thanks, i bought the 2.0 version based on your comments. These are hard to find right now, amazon is sold out of all variants. Have to get them from Creative directly. My wife liked the White color better, lol they are for her laptop. Interestingly the V2 is not available in white. Pretty much all laptops, and laptop accessories are out of stock or overpriced right now because of the virus. Laptops like the Acer Aspire 5, Asus Vivobook, and other quality high value laptops that where selling for 350$ a couple months ago, brand new, are now 700$ and used ones on ebay are even over 350. Tough to find a deal right now.
Hmm, so what are the advantages of being on usb-c power? I wonder if you could make an adapter from usb-c female to molex female for the 5v? If there is any difference with the power supplied to the speakers. I'd imagine less distortion when they're turned way up. But they won't be often so, I'm thinking it should be fine. I'll see. Going to get these soon. Thanks!
USB C can deliver more power so less distortion and louder sound. Like you said the same can be done with an adaptor if needed
@@mikesunboxing Hey, thanks so much for the response. I'm going to get these for my mom really soon since they seem the best budget speakers for the money. Performance/Price ratio. I hope they last some years. She is on some really old speakers I got from a yard sale years ago that are maybe in 2015 ish? Idk. Old enough that the shielding has deteriorated and if its by the wifi card of the desktop I made her it buzzes like crazy. Hope these don't but if they do I'll figure it out. The left speaker is messed up but she says they're louder than her laptop speakers so that's a plus. Good for testing if audio is coming from a device but not for every day use. Hopefully these will be an amazing, well worth upgrade for her.
Either way, idk if you've done custom electronics stuff. But I seen you did a review on a PC case earlier. I was asking if you could make an adapter from usb-c female to molex female for the +5v? You might not know but I can run it by a friend of mine that might, just he's really busy. No doubt you are too! If you got the sec. I'd appreciate it! I can't just buy a cable like that online. There might be a reason for that. All I can find is pci usb 3.0 and usb-c cards for around $35. There might be a good reason for that. Idk. I just need power for the speakers. So no data. I don't know much about custom soldered electronics but should there be a cap and resistor on the hot side? Maybe I can find some electronics forum somewhere.
I'd need to get a soldering iron and I plan on getting one soon. Been meaning to. Could you perhaps do a review on soldering irons? I have one I can link you I was looking at that is variable temp. It's just a dimmer switch though. Other reviews I seen said so. Up to you but I can link it. I get you need flux and there's different types of solder, etc. Stuff seems really fascinating, I was Louis Rossman and Electronics repair school on here.
@@mikesunboxing Non the less just wanted to clarify. No need for a response. Thank you! I'll try and find some electronics forum to ask that question I think is going to be the best bet. I want to be double, even triple sure before I fry a pair of speakers for no good reason lol. Keep up the awesome reviews! If I could make a suggestion. I like to test a PC case by if I can take either corner of it and flex it back and forth while the side panels are off. If not you have a really well made strong case. Some flex a little. More of a test to see if it would buckle like an old chair or piece of furniture. Good thing lan parties aren't much of a thing anymore. I imagine someone sitting on that and the thin glass breaking. As is you picking it up it looked like it was flexing. Least it's glass and not plexiglass. I didn't watch the whole thing so maybe you did that. Hope not! Then I look like more of a fool! xD Just don't want to spend money haha. Later!
The Creative T15 "Wireless" is the Bang for the Buck if you're looking for a Studio Quality Sound without breaking the Bank (only $45)
The T15s are the best low cost Computer Speakers I ever used and these are my 2nd Pair of "Studio Quality Speakers", I came from the Edifier R1280T.
Pros:
1. Bluetooth 4.0
2. High Excursion Drivers
3. High Output Tweeters
Cons:
1. The Bluetooth LED is big, but Black Electrical Tape solved that, it should be a "Pinhole LED" - I had cutted a small square.
The Soundstage is pretty balanced for small 3inch Drivers and the Tweeters are very bright at the 12:00 position already, I really don't need to crank them till distortion cause the Bass already is prominent enough for the Speaker Cabinet diameters aka "Bass Reflex".
thanks i'll check them out
Can you connect this to a monitor?
if the monitor has a line out jack you can, and you will also need USB power from a wall plug or something
2x the price of v1 is v2 worth it?
there is a new v3 out now which might be worth a look
@@mikesunboxing I just saw that. Not available too many places.
Huge question! I am currently getting a ps5 and just bought a monitor to game on but it does not have a usb-c port, but it does have an aux port. So, could I plug the speakers using the adapter to power them with the ps5 which has usb-a ports and plug the aux port into my monitor???
Would that work??
These will be my first speakers so I want to make sure that they’ll work before purchase 😅
A
sounds like that should work okay
Can the audio go through the USB cable rather than the 3.5mm? Thanks!!
no sorry power only
@@mikesunboxing thx!
No problem
Which ones are better ? Logitech Z200 speakers or creative pebble speakers .
Which one of them has more bass?
not sure sorry i have not used the Z200
Alright
I wonder how this compares to two HomePod minis in terms of sound
slightly better but not by much
@@mikesunboxing oh really? I put two homepods on each side of my pillow and I liked how they sound. The pebbles look similar in size so that’s why I was wondering
hi there Mike, what u think if to compare these to Logitech z120 usb speakers??
very similar to be honest
why do you look like my old tennis coach lol
lol no idea!
Hi Mike. In your opinion, what's the best 2.1 PC loud speakers under $200. I can do either Bluetooth or wired to the PC. Thanks.
Oletta, Creative has a Pebble version (Creative Pebble Plus 2.1) with a sub. It is only about USD$8.00 more (USD$37.99). I don't believe it is the V2, unfortunately. A heck of a deal!

I like for loudness the Logitech z series are hard to beat especially with the 10” sub
Hi. I m looking for good speaker for my pc. I know I m late to ask u but Is creative pebble v2 better than 2.0 coz of high peak power n louder? I have two pc's. One is my workstation and other as my personal pc.
I brought Logitech z120 for my workstation pc and it's compact stereo speaker. Sound quality is like crystal clear and fair enough to hear good sound in loud or low level for small room. It's perfect for video editing. I know near field monitors r best for pro level but can't afford to get it under tight budget but will buy it in nearly future. Right now I m looking for another good speaker for my personal pc which I like to watch youtube or movie & gaming! Sorry for being late. I m deaf but love to be audiophile. I m trying best to study n understand about sound n listen some good music. Will you suggest me to get creative pebble 2.0 or v2 for bit louder. Please let me know! Thanks!
sometihng like creative t20 gigaworks might be a good choice but i little more expensive
Are you from bristol
Yes, South West of England!
is this "CP V2" better or significant louder than the Creative Pebble Plus 2.1 (51MF0480AA000) ?
the 2.1 is louder and has a subwoofer for the deeper bass
hey Mike , i have a monitor i just use for gaming and it does not have a USB port to it does that mean i can’t use them with my setup ?
You can use an old phone charger or something like that to power them
Mike's unboxing, reviews and how to oh okay so if I just had the USB plugged into a brick that’s plugged into a wall outlet or surge protector they’d work fine ? also would I recommend the version with the subwoofer or do you think it’s not needed . sorry for so many questions
Does most of the sound come from the right side(Volume knob side) ? Cause my left is vibrating very weakly lol
I might have to buy new ones, I think I broke it lmao
very strange? maybe cable damage?
I actually found out yesterday that i had my right pebble upside down. I don’t know if this is what happened in your case, but there are three sides: The bottom, the part with speaker driver and volume button, and the side with the subwoofer. I noticed that the left one was vibrating more than the right side and it because the right one was placed with the subwoofer at the bottom.
how does this compare to the logitech z200? ive been checking both and i cant decide. they are also the same price! so please help me!!
i'm sorry i haven't tried those so would be unfair to comment
Pulling them out of the box by the cords ain't so great, and left is swapped with right in this demo.
should i use the high setting switch or na?
edit: yea use high gain mode always
If your port has the power is it
Use it sorry 😐
Mike's unboxing, reviews and how to how do I know tho. It’s a pc. I’ve got a bunch of different usb.
turn it on you should be fine for power on a pc
@@mikesunboxing idk why but im scared the speakers or my pc would fry.
Would this work on a tv?
yes i don't see why not
Some TVs have a 3.5" output intended for headphones. Others don't have analog outputs at all (only HDMI and maybe optical).
Hi, like others have said this review is real and useful, thanks. Do you happen to know if you lose any power-output when using the USB converter? My laptop has thunderbolt usb-c so that's a safe bet but my monitor also this 'USB3.2 quick charging' port that is an A type - would the latter still work just as good for the higher gain if I use that with converter?
Not that I know of it will use the available power from what i can tell
How does this compare to Logitech z200?
not tried them sorry so can't really comment
So, the speakers are gonna consume power from the laptop. I am afraid it's gonna drain my laptop's battery even more. Wish it had the option to get the power directly from an electric socket.
you can use a wall socket usb if you want to
Mine have just arrived. I have to say they arent for me, everything extremely sibilant (essy) there is very little bass to speak of, and at about fifty percent they clip off. (this is the second copy of these as i returned the first set for these reasons thinking I got a duff copy first time) These are going back too. Ironically the intro line of your test track says, "what we do here is go back!" because that's exactly what's happening with these horrors. Note to self, dont buy anything based on a review that includes affiliate links.
are you using a well powered usb port? that causes issues with these especially the clipping?

@@mikesunboxing Thats what im thinkin, but I have no idea what to change to make it sound good. Also, also, I have realized mine are not V2s, but 2.0s..... I guess im dumb and didnt fully understand the writing on the box, though to be fair, in my searching, I never saw something called a "V2" but saw the V3 and thought the V2 was just 2.0 and they never called it a V2...but yeah.
Anywho, ive looked through all my sound settings on my PC, ive even messed with Nahimic sound settings, but that seems to have exactly 0 effect on the sound. I checked Creatives website and cant find any programs to mess with settings on this thing. All I know, is the sound coming out of them is really off putting to listen to. Its like listening to things with ear plugs on.
