Brings back memories!! Also my mom was a great typist in her work for the Boy
Scouts during WW11 ! Thanks for showing it off❣️
My pleasure!
I put this video on while I was writing and it felt like someone was writing along with me 💚
One of my favorite things about old typewriters is the smell of the ribbon and the paper.
I loved these sounds. Takes me back to when I could type about 70 wpm… before RA 🥺😞😭 my fingers are all crooked and unusable now.
I feel you pain... literally. RA is a cruel disease.
Hugs 🫂
Beautiful Adler Junior (or Triumph Gabriele)❤❤❤
Hi Kate! This was an amazing video! Definitely loved the typewriter sounds. Thank you so much and I hope you are doing well!!!
Thank you Rebecca! You too!
This is great. Thanks for posting.
I remember in primary school during the lessons hearing in the distance the secretaries typing.
Yes, I remember the sound of typewriters at school too.
Yeah I remember this xx
Adler is German for eagle 🦅 💡
Ah, thanks so much!
Junk/charity shops are the best 💓
They are!
@Alison McCrady they are treasure hunt land. 💰
As a keyboard enthusiast those keycaps look amazing.
Woahh! This is so good 👍😀
Love it!
Thanks! 😄
Wonderful machine!
Hey beautiful! Sooo enthralled by your soothing voice!❤
I love your videos!
Thank you!
❤️
Ooh, that arthritis looks like it could get painful. My mom has it quite bad like that and her hands get very painful sometimes. She also has some neurological disorders as well so that might make it worse. Does yours get painful? I certainly hope it doesnt bother you too much.
It certainly does, but I'm used to it.

Qwerty is actually not the most efficient. It was invented to make sure the typewriter would not jam. Pressing adjacent letters too quickly would make them jam. So qwerty is basicly the most spread form for the letters.
Thanks for the info!
And actual attempts to document the difference from qwerty and other typing styles have proven inconsistent results. Eg, it doesn't matter lmao.
🥰🥰🥰🥰
can you do more typewriter
Definitely!
Carriage return?
Yes!! Words fail me sometimes... ;-)
Love this session because it brings back old memories of being in secretarial school for 2 years. We had to transcribe our shorthand dictation in the manual typewriter room on machines with no letters on the keys😓. Being able to finally work on IBM selectric typewriters on the job was a treat after that training……
I remember the IBM electric typewriters too. They were huge from what I remember.
You know, it's funny, just this afternoon, my mother showed me something that said all schoolkids had typing lessons in school back in the 70s and 80s. Being someone who didn't enter education until the late 90s with modern computers and such, I had no idea this was a thing. It was all on typewriters, and it sounds very primitive compared to what we have these days 😂
Yes, I was taught to type at school - but only the girls had that class. Those were the days ...
In 1991 (11 y/o) I got the chance to follow a 10 part type writing lesson (typing blind). I learned it on this kind of an old typewriter. Computers were around at that time but not very common for everyone. Only 1 boy had an electrical typewriter, which gave you more of a nowaday keyboard experience. I ended up with an average of 193 words a minute and got my diploma. Now, more than 30 years later I’m still very grateful I got the chance to take the lessons.
Can you not talk next time please
