So a security company is telling people to move to a less secure version of Windows? As long as Recall is in Windows 11 (disabled or not) it is less secure than Windows 10, because a hacker/malware/virus could easily re-enable it and then use it to steal all your info.
I am on Windows 10 and have no reason, or desire, to upgrade to Windows 11 at this point with all of it's issues. Why fix something that 's not broken. Windows 10 runs all of the programs I use, and it does it very well, thank you.
Thanks for the Clarification. I thought it was $30 per Microsoft Account at First. Now I will probably invest in a Windows 11 Machine and maybe keep 1 Windows 10. It's early and I have a lot of thinking and Budgeting to go thru. I hope Microsoft looks at the Market Share. I really do.
We gonna see in august this year how increase the videos about Win10, invoking emergency to move to win 11 or give up this OS once with finishing the support
... and that's what we call taking advantage of the dominant position in the market... Kinda surprised EU hasn't bitten back. Plus let's not forget about e-waste and responsible market preactices and all that which don't seem to apply to some...
are ESET going to buy me a new computer that runs windows 11 then. And linux will not run some software I use so it's going to be a good while without support for me like millions of others
I think this is the same Sanrio as people wondering what is going on with windows 12. I say (who cares at this point as long as your computer still gets security update from Microsoft and any other products that u use you are fine . In addition I’m not saying I don’t want windows 12 to happen I’m saying what’s the rush.
Windows 11 is less secure thanks to Recall. A hacker will come up with some malware that will re-enable that and steal all your info, if they haven't already created such malware.

Microsoft obviously paid ESET to do this.
It's called taking advantage of the current situation to feather one's own nest 💲

Windows 10 rules!!
We don't have the problem. Microsoft does!

I bought a new laptop last year. I will use Rufus to put Windows 11 on my old one. It has an SSD, extra RAM, and an extra drive.
I can install Windows 11 if I choose; I have a 12th-generation CPU. But for now, I have no reason to. October 14th is still just over 10 months away.
Linux for me, we have til Oct to figure it out. So I'm starting to learn Linux.
I shall wait and than buy a new laptop. Now I have a desktop 😊

Maybe ESET should tell people their antivirus and security software will not support Win10.
Paying 30 for home user is a bullshit , recommend upgrade to Windows 11 if the device is compatible.
Microsoft really wants that market share to drop from 10 lol.

I bet ESET is lying. Besides Linux is a much bigger security nightmare than Windows could ever be
Windows 11 on unsupported machines is only solution.
If you got windows 10 don't waste your money on buying security from eset then.
linux > win 23h2 , win11 24h2 = 🗑
I never really liked Windows 10.
Going to Windows 11 as soon as it was out, was a great move, for me.
