Socially we do not put the same pressure on Men to marry and have children as young and possibly because typically men Date younger women and that can compensate for their declining fertility also so although typically men have children older they struggle less with fertility when they do because they typically have younger more fertile partners compared to women that are trying to conceive later because the women are still probably dating an older man than them who has more declined sperm quality and quantity compared to the other couple. Fertility is an individual measure but it takes 2 people to reproduce and so to measure reproductive capabilities you have to look at the couple and not the individuals! Unfortunately the idea that women have a biological clock is used a lot to back up ideals about men having younger women and women needing to settle by a certain age.
