Soundbar reviews NEED to have sound samples with speech. Music and movie sound effects are fine and dandy, but the most important thing is clear and full bodied vocals. Almost all soundbars fall flat on their face in this department. They may have clear treble and smooth midrange. Some even have strong bass. But good midbass and lower midrange seems impossible to attain from a small plastic bar.

Fantastic soundbar. I purchased mine and after 3 weeks of use Im very happy with it. Initially I was skeptical about purchasing a soundbar let alone a compact one. But I was pleasantly surprised by this device. Apart from its great build quality and pleasing aesthetics it does what it is supposed to with aplomb. Even though this is best suited for a small lounge/tv room or bedroom it does get pretty loud and I was shocked at the amount of bass this soundbar produced. Make no mistake the bass it produces wont shake the building but there is a genuine and respectable rumble and boom emanating from those 2 speakers. I connected it via bluetooth to my X96 MAX Android TV Box and it is working flawlessly. It also has Hdmi Arc connectivity as well as optical audio capability. I highly recommend this.

did you finally choose between JBL SB & Bar series ? I am having the same confusion... but the spec of SB110 says higher output (not sure if it is pmpo or rms) than Bar 2.0..
I bought one that was anopened box from bestbuy in the u.s. It sounds pretty good. I have mine on the second shelf of my tv stand instead of below the tv and it does put out good bass being a little lower than up where the tv is.
I have a flat 58 inch tv without any sound bar and went to buy this. Took it to home and was disappointed. I was not looking for strong bass, but clear sound with good high tones. The sound to me was totally too dark and unclear and low tones too loud. My TV without any additional speakers had better sound and stereo impression. I took it back to the store after 20 mins listening. Then I decided to look reviews and now I’m even more surprised. I have listened those separated JBL Bluetooth speakers and the sound is much alike. A lot of bass and thin middle and especially high tones. I was hoping to get speaker with even bass, middle and high tones. Probably last JBL for me.
honestly maybe you all will says its so expensive .. but for me if you want feel the clear sound and great quality jbl is good. and so good . i have already buy this speaker , and jbl clips 4 and jbl go 3 . i feel really great and happy to get all this. Great review thank you! I am the only bitch out there looking for a bar without a sub and therefore dramatic bass because I have a tiny living room and live in an apartment with the landlord just above. If I can hear him snore I can't afford to have a sub haha! I am surprised how JBL performs in general and what I just heard was far better than some Samsung, or even bose bars (without sub) that had a very poor surround system. I might just keep my money and get this one and will invest in something much more performant when the environment will be more favourable! Have a good one!

My daughter has a jbl clip portable speaker for using at her sports club and it sounds really really good. I’m looking at sound bars and came here to see what JBL are offering. This 2.0 sounds pretty good. Currently I’m looking through videos of the Hisense 214, Sony 150/200, JBL 2.0 etc. I’m not going to spend loads, I’ve an old Sony tv (kdl40w4000) still going strong so it will be an optical connection I’ll be using. Any comparisons sub £100/£150? I’ve got space for a separate sub woofer but not fussed really as long as the sound bar sounds decent upgrading my tv sound.
I do recommend BOSE, not this JBL 2.0 sound bar. Sounds good but I don't like that turns off by itself after 10 minutes of inactivity. Yes, it doesn't come across too well but it might be worth the channel recording using binaural mics designed to pick up the sounds to a suitable standard. This sounds like it was recorded on an iPhone (and maybe the soundbar sounds like that!)
