This song really resonates with me. I met a girl when we were both 17 and I fell for her hard. Our friendship turned to mutual wanting to be together. I was so shy back then. The night I decided to ask her out she was with my best friend. He lied to her. He told her I didn't like her that way. I didn't find out until months later. Our friendship had ended by this time and I never saw her again. 36 years later I still miss her so much. She was my first true love and we never got to be together because of a lie. So if you like someone, tell them, let them know. Take that risk. Don't live a life of regret and what might have been. I still love her after all this time. I'd give anything to see her again. If only I had told her how I felt. I know she felt the same way. I miss her so much. I've suffered with anxiety/depression for years. But I'm good at hiding it. My life could have been so much different.
