    Need to capture more heat. Would not be surprised if the 150s boil time would become attainable if the water vessel were replaced with something akin to a JetBoil. Modifying a thermos to send flame up inside the double walled body might also capture enough more heat to speed the boiling process; hole in the bottom to allow flame in, holes around the top perimeter to allow flow up and out.

      Something like a small Kelly Kettle would fit your description, but it might be against the spirit of this self-imposed "challenge"

    The optimum height from top of burner to bottom of pot should be 2 inches to give best boil time with less fuel. Your pot stand should be at least 1/2 the height. If you take 3 rows off from the top of the pot stand it will be perfect height.
