Everyone is so gaga over airs and rotations and stupid tricks, but if I could surf like one younger surfer on tour these days it'd be Ethan. He's so, so, so fucking good, and of course he can pretty much do all the stupid tricks, too. But the way he puts a wave together, and the style and power and flow is just a thing of beauty.

Still not nearly as electric and stylish as Parko or Dean Morrison.
Surfs hard and fast for sure, but I wouldn't call that stylish. Just aggressive.
There aren’t many pros who can make intense upper-body torque look smooth. Ethan’s able to do that no matter what the wave’s doing. His Margaret River heats from this year show that - definitely check em out.

If that's not stylish then I dunno what is... Being that aggressive with such effortlessness and flow is a whole another level of mastery. There's plenty aggressive riders out there, but he just looks like he rips without even trying.. and that's thousands of hours worth of hyper-productive practice 💯
