How We Celebrated 5 Years of Marriage | Korean Traditional Hanbok Photoshoot

Something we’ve always regretted not doing on our wedding day is wearing traditional Korean hanbok together as a couple and getting photos taken. So, for our upcoming 5th year marriage anniversary (this November), we did just that! :)
We were recently contacted by ‘프딩’ (peu-ding, short for ‘Premium Wedding’), a wedding photographers’ platform. They expressed their interest in working with us, and we jumped at the opportunity, as they’re a group of incredibly lovely, talented people, and the timing was absolutely perfect, given our upcoming anniversary.
This video shows our journey through this whole photoshoot experience. From browsing the photographers’ gallery, choosing and trying on our hanbok, getting our makeup and hair done, and the photoshoot itself. All the people we met and worked with on this project were absolutely wonderful, and truly made this one of our most favorite projects we’ve ever done since starting our channel~

Sarah looks so good in hanbok, so natural. Usually when non Korean people wear hanbok, it looks like they have a costume on but not on Sarah. It looks so natural.

공감해요...가격은 쎄지만저게 진짜 한복에 가깝죠...요즘렌탈한복은 그저 인스턴트한복이죠...인스턴트로 한식을 제대로 느끼기 힘들듯 옷도 마찬가지아닐지...

양반 서민 이 차이가 아니라.. 경복궁 앞 렌털한복은 원단부터 디자인까지 전통 한복과는 거리가 있죠. 근본없는 디자인, 요란하기만 한 금박, 발 위로 올라오는 편의만을 위한 길이, 허리 뒤에 드레스처럼 리본이 달려있질 않나.. 물론 관광객 대상이니 어쩔 수 없고, 한복 유행에 큰 역할을 담당한 건 사실이지만 아쉬운 건 사실이죠. 저게 전통 한복인 줄 알까봐.. 좀 더 여건이 나아져서 품위있는 한복이 이 역할을 대신했으면

Just looking at the photos had me welling up (great choice of music!) and I love them all. But the two that elicited the strongest emotional reactions were numbers 4 and 6.
If I was Korean I'd want to do something like this for myself even though I'm no longer married.
