  • In today's RNB tutorial I cover everything you need to consistently make good sounding rnb melodies, textures, sound selection, effects, drums for rnb beats, and arrangement tricks to hook the listener. I cover chord progressions, layering sounds, sound selection, counter melodies, mixing, drum patterns, and more! This tutorial is great for beginners just starting to make beats and producers that have been making beats for a while but still can't consistently make great sounding beats.

Been getting into producing RnB lately. Love this content as it helps me to get inspired and make the tracks more interesting and closer to a finished product. If you don’t mind me asking, could you get more in depth on the chord cutting technique you used? I didn’t quite understand your process but it sounds fire. Thanks again for the amazing content.

A word of advice its cool to use sounds but learning to play instruments put you in a league of your own good work stay up just a lil free game

Yessir, been playing acoustic for 3 years just getting fundamentals down, now that I feel really confident I’m going to get a electric and start learning theory on there and at that point only thing that can stop me is my self

Who says he’s not in a league of his own? You are on his channel learning from his skillet.

@@GrindHardPeezyI think you are missing the pragmatics of the comment.. yes much respect to the creator of the video. I, however, think that 357A.I meant that things tend to "flow" better as far as creativity and time-wise. I speak for experience..before I had gone to school for Music, I still made some nice music and all. However, after learning theory and other fundamentals that goes into learning music I can honestly say that I can translate my ideas better in fl studio- I can notated ideas on sheet music and when I'm done I can just copy what I have on sheet music to fl studio and can basically create a string of songs in a day just to give an example

Its the same thing. Your playing an instrument via mouse, “learning to play” “ use sounds” same thing. Playing an instrument is using a sound and using cool sounds is learning to play the instrument that makes the sound.
Learning how instruments are played in different styles is a never ending journey.
I find it to be one in the same except if your going on a DAW. You need to know how to recreate the effects you play . I think its fair to say you cant master one without the other..
I can make my guitar sound cool while playing but doing it on a computer is a whole different thing. Knowing how to play gives you the blueprint to what putting in your DAW however it doesnt grant the knowledge of how to do it in the DAW so i wouldnt compare the teo but agreed both are necessary to making music that sounds like its being played by a real human and not a robot

All sounds from my bank lost again - details in bio. It’s a bank I made for analog lab. Sounds also come as one shots if you don’t have analog lab.
