- Every dog & knife pig hunt is different. Some come with daunting physical challenges while others come with emotional sadness when our dogs get hurt or even worse.
This hunt would be the easiest hunt to date with Po dog pulling the boar up when Bigsy & Pace chased him straight to us right beside the truck. Because it all happened in the blink of an eye none of suspected that this smaller boar about 80lbs strong had got one of his little sharp tusks into Bigsy and punctured his leg severing an artery. While we were celebrating the kill Bigsy was only 15 meters down the bank below us slowly bleeding out. When I went to give he dogs their treat of posyum back at the truck Bigsy did not come running as usual. It was there that I realized that something was wrong. The sticking scene is only on my Patreon and has been edited out here.

The knife is a 1918 Marples from America alloy pommel. My Great Grandfather hunted in TeAnau in the 1920's. Please dont loose this knife young fella.

Really glad Bigsy is doing well. The boys really showed their love for him. I know my heart skipped a beat when Bigsy was bleeding out. May his recovery be a swift one.
Those boys are bloody champions Clay you could see the look of concern on their faces when poor old Bigsy got injured they jumped in and carried him up the hill to the car and you got him safely to the vet well done all round ,great pig as well .Get well Bigsy.

Yeah that was a sharp reminder to me to always check he dogs after a kill no matter how small the pig. That boar hardly even had tusks and still managed to almost kill Bigsy.

I really enjoyed the video bummer about biggsy getting hurt but glad he is doing well and on the mend , I’m also glad that the boys had a great time and caught a good size pig.

Nice one! Glad Bigsy pulled through. We nearly lost one of our main dogs last weekend on a 140lb boar, her rip collar saved her from being killed. Glad my partner carries a first aid kit which saved her life for sure. The vet bill is gonna be hefty this month 😅

Hi, enlighten me please. Why checking bigsy's canine tooth often after injury? I don't understand the logic?
I was checking his gums. Pressing them to see how quickly the blood returns to gauge the blood loss.. Not his teeth.

Dear Mr. Clay; It’s 4:27 in the morning here. Monday May 29,2023. Folks here are celebrating Memorial Day. Things are a bit hairy here; the illegal aliens that crossed the border are going from the west coast to the east coast, breaking into the homes of the people who are not home. Maybe they are at work or on vacation. Cameras show them climbing up to the second floor, because there’s no security up there. They scope the place out. Sometimes for weeks and watching the routines of the neighborhood. Then they make their move, swoop in and steal everything they can get their hands on. The news media, are not talking about it except Fox News. We, personally have already experienced that for some time now. Yeah, it’s so good to see y’all. Praying, for your beloved dog. I know how it is and I feel what you aren’t saying. The boys certainly have grown up to be good strong fellas. Yeah, around here folks don’t give a shit what their kids do, just so long as they don’t bother them. Especially when they are partying. Drinking and who knows what else. Looking forward to your next video. I was going to check in with you. Been thinking about you, wondering what you are doing and if you are feeling ok.
