Even though I could afford it, there's just no way I'd be paying 3x the price of basically every other top notch speed cube out there. Not matter how good.

Honestly if a cube that's twice as expensive is also twice as good, I think that's justified. But gan cubes are definitely not twice as good as other flagships.

thanks for the reviews you've been doing lately. It is great to get your take as one of the best ever Roux solvers on new and old cubes (especially the expensive ones). Being a slower cuber, I may not run into the same problems faster cubers do, but I still value a cube that is light, fast, smooth (or papery), quiet, and that doesn't lock up on me. No cube ticks all the boxes. Currently my fav is the X-Man Pioneer (which you didn't care much for, though my biggest problem with it is that it is a little too noisy), but I have loved and still sometimes practice with Valk 3 M elite, GAN 11 M, several of the dayan cubes and even the RS 3M 2020, along with others I keep forgetting.
BTW: I'm hoping for a good bluetooth cube to come along, so if any new ones come out it would be great to get your take on them. I found the GAN iCarry and i356 V2 both a little heavy and stiff and the Go cube hard to use with its pillowing and dull colors, but hoping there may be better ones coming.
