Haven't finished the video yet and I usually don't comment, but I just wanted to mention that the author of Violet Made of Thorns, Gina Chen, announced on her Instagram a few months ago that she won't be continuing the duology because of some issues regarding her mental health. Thought I'd clarify that, since I'd been wondering the same thing and stumbled upon that information. Love your videos, btw :)
Im finally about the finish the once upon a broken heart trilogy. Im telling myself i need to finish my series before i start anymore new ones. We’ll see how that goes lol
Woow do you keep a spreadsheet for all of these series? just tracking my series on goodreads/storygraph doesn't work for me so I need to have a google sheet file lol and I feel you on the amount of series that I start and then "forget" to continue. Definitely a problem, specially with all the book boxes featuring 1st book in series
I have a spreadsheet on Google Sheets and I use a reading journal as well 😊 And I agree with all the series firsts from book boxes!! Need more (good) standalones 🫣
a few weeks ago or so i finished the curse so dark and lonely trilogy i binged read all 3 books, and a few days ago i finished defy the night, tonight or tomorrow ill start defend the dawn and then after ill read book3. ive a bunch of older ya fantasy to read on my physical tbr its been years so im tryin to finally binge read em. i also plan to binge read the caraval trilogy and once upon a broken heart trilogy, and serpent and dove trilogy and red queen series and a bunch others too. i enjoyed curse so dark and lonely trilogy more than defy the night book1 so far. i hope i enjoy book2,. i usually try to binge read trilogies and series i dont like to start new series or trilogies before having finished other ones. bc with time ill forget what happened in previous book and or will lose interest. im caught up on dark artifices and last hours trilogy (which wasnt my fav,i was so bored) ive all my shadowhunter books and special editions for sale ngl im just over shadowhunter books (i do think ill read wicked powers when they come out) ive empire of vampire to read still. im also all caught up with the shatter me series (but the last 3 she came out with were honestly not necessary) btw theres a new collections edition of shatter me comin out soon ive preordered it. ive read the lunar chronicles series a few years ago and enjoyed em (i dont wanna read fairest meh)plus ive unhualed em. scarlet was my least fav of the series. scarlet is red ridding hood inspired. ive recently added a bunch of fantasy/ romantasy books on my goodreads some are even fae. ive added court of blood and bindings to my tbr but whats the spice/smut level? (im not really into very spicy/smut books..) im also caught up with sarah j maas books and cant wait for next acotar book. i ve bridge kindom on my tbr and i really wanna read her books. i still havent started forth wing.. im waiting a while before starting it bc ive other books i need to read first. i already have a dawn of onyx on my goodreads tbr, its NA right? whats the spice/smut level in it? omfg i also have daughter of no worlds on my tbr also really wanna read it, i also really wanna read her serpent of wings of night books ive book1. glow im kinda curious about em..but idk bc my friend said there starts to be a lot of spice/smut..so that kinda puts me off.
you're def not the first to say that but why is Winternight trilogy considered YA? It's been marketed as historical fantasy (adult) where I live and I'd def say it is adult fiction. I'm just honestly curious where did it came from 😅

this is pretty damn impressive. nowadays I just assume that every book I read is probably part of a series, or at the very least a duology.

Gina Chen announced there won’t be a sequel for violet made of thorns so you can take one series off lol.

Ngl, I’m only labelling it as YA because that’s what I’ve been told it is - that said, it does read very adult at times!
