This was supposed to be my first piece of gear back in '97. It was priced at $800. I convinced by a friend of mine to buy an Akai MPC2000, in which I did. Fast forward to 2020, I ended up buying one for $130 used off of Craigslist in NY. It still is a great little machine. Great video. 👍👍👍👍👍
I had 303 in late 90's I used for hip-hop at the time. In fact I liked it so much I upgraded to the mc505 when it was available. I liked it too. I've often considered getting a used one just to have it again but I'm limited on space.
dope... i love the OG grooveboxes, i have a MC 909 now in my studio but I've had a bunch of em, the MC 303 was the heart of my set up back in the day and main sequencer.
303 Groovebox was the first piece of synth hardware I ever owned. My friend and I bought one at the same time and got a decent discount, was around year 2000 too. Those demo tracks you are playing brought back floods of memories. :)
You’re a wizard with the Mc-303!! Props! What I love about this machine is how it really forces you to get creative

Many years ago I worked at a pro audio retailer. We all had access to the best synths of the time, but we all spent most time on the 303 !!
@leftmono1016 wow ain't that something.

I did use the 808 beats for some Hip-hop.

Nice video! Effortless messing with the levels. Respect that!
I was always maxing out the note limit per song after just a few patterns waaay back when.
Yeah I enjoyed that.
I’ve been sat at 120bpm for a while this has inspired a quicker approach to some tracks.

Amazing sounds, you just made the bells …live ✊✊🔥
I’ve subscribed …. There’s a lot to learn from you….vibe
That was dope
Bruh This is just a whole tune.
So what's the difference to the TB 303?
The TB to me was for a Bass player to input notes. The 303 is a groovebox made for Techno and House. from my History.
Take anything underrated and overlooked and use it to destroy the universe.
its a groovebox ;j
Sorry, but could you please stop talking shit? No one is about this machine in our days.. Thanx..
I,ll make another just for you .
Sorry, but that is only click-baiting.. I had this machine myself, much fun.. But today it's just out..
It's all in the hands of the user. A skilled musician will make it work. A trash, fourth rate one would say that it's "out".
