Ihab , you’re absolutely right, there will never be anyone like him, he is just unbelievable. I listen to his Cds almost everyday and probably always will.
I was there! The beginning of the concert was nervous and even a bit hostile because some idiot took a picture (with a flash) and KJ was of course pissed but the concert evolved towards a warm and gentle ending (as you can hear), I was impressed, happy and touched and when we arrived home the messages came in of the horrifying attacks in Paris (Bataclan) with so many deaths. So while KJ plays this heavenly beautiful music people were dying at a concert in the Bataclan in Paris. An evening of wonderful music and ugly terror at the same time, I will never forget that evening but thank you KJ !!!!!
And now no longer able to play .... so looking for 'sense' in life or seeing things as 'dualities' is trying to find a formula to explain what we simply can't understand. Those in the Bataclan went through hell and those who heard Jarrett play were blessed. That's all. And thank you for being, Keith Jarrett.
I was there as well. Great concert, and the first time I heard Keith Jarrett play solo live. Recall that he stopped one improvisation unexpectedly, because he thought it was not going anywhere (this is what I believe he said).
You are one lucky guy. I wanted also to go. But my mom didn't allowed me to go. Even though I was already 25 back then. But she's a very caring person and she was afraid something was going to happen to me. Because it was in the capital. And I feel sorry for all those victims at the Bataclan. They people only wanted to have fun in there way. But once again you are a lucky person you could see my biggest jazz idol live.
We are going to miss you Sir. Blessings no matter what. You have been my inspiration for many years and I doubt that will change whether you can play again or not.
That was a pure love message. 🌀 Keith Jarrett, a 💯% musician playing directly from the soul, as convincing in Jazz, like in Classical pieces, maybe the greatest pianist of them all in modern history.
There will never be anyone like him and his genuine genius.
I love Keith, but he isn’t on the level of Bach.
@@HermanIngram well, obviously.

@@HermanIngram What an ignorant comment! LOL!

If you think that is an ignorant comment, you know nothing about JS Bach.
美しい。美し過ぎる。
キースの数多くのソロコンサートでのアンコールで、この曲より美しく、暖かい演奏は思い浮かばない。
CDにして欲しい🎵

Oh man... Thanks a lot for writing this. Really gives a context of the feelings that night.

Keith Jarrett is the master of all masters.
Living legend, sacrificing everything for the music. The ideas spinning out of him are endless.
Absolutely, the man is a fountain of creativity.

Keith is the best! Biggest influence in my playing.
My "go to" when I need to hear something fresh, inspiring and real. Requires only your "concentration and attention".
tears...
That was a pure love message. 🌀

何回も聴くが、美しい。
何てtenderで暖かい音楽なんだろう🎵
“I don’t know what to play” Keith said
that’s why he showed up in the first place, to play melodies that haven’t yet been played.
So very well said 👌
Thank you so much
Thank you for all the music.
nice melody!
Only KJ could take some simple almost Disney-esque pop cliches and turn them into something beautifully unique and touching.
I agree, I love his interpretation of When you Wish upon a Star :)
Crazy genius, is there any other kind?
Is this piece an improvisation?
Nacho Libre I believe it is, and it’s awesome. I’m familiar with many of his encores and this is new to me. Amazing talent.
Bad Lt. thank you, you saved me the trouble of trying to find this song
It’s great piece and have transcribed it though difficult to do with the audio
Tim Wood that’s amazing! Would you be willing to share the transcription?
Colin Hayashi yes certainly- my email is flat13sharp11@gmail.com
