But I noticed that reaction/genuineness started to dissipate a few months later, with a major shift happening after the Matty Healy thing. It was probably a lot of misplaced anger toward her "brand" that never really resolved itself, and so she began to see us as the physical representation of her "not being cool enough" for him. And then all of the criticism of him from her fanbase on top of it solidified the feeling into internalized resentment.

I think the reason why she’s so angry at the swifties is because the way they’re obsessing over trayvis and making up stories that she’s engaged and going to get married to Travis and have tons of babies with him after the eras tour ends. It's really kind-of creepy that her parents are pushing for this guy. Her dad played college football and has a bad temper, too. To me it just reeks of him wanting her with someone just like him. Gabriette is from SoCal, and the way she described her high school experience I can take a guess she had a pretty normal suburban childhood/adolescent, but dealt with adversity because of her biracial identity. I can imagine the kind of place she was living in is not really inclusive from my own experience being from SoCal & a POC. So they might have some similarities in living so-so normal lives in their young years & dealing with bullying, but her being an ethnic woman puts her in a completely different space from Taylor. Not only that but just her surrounding & the subculture that she’s into is different. Gabriette is from SoCal, and the way she described her high school experience I can take a guess she had a pretty normal suburban childhood/adolescent, but dealt with adversity because of her biracial identity. I can imagine the kind of place she was living in is not really inclusive from my own experience being from SoCal & a POC. So they might have some similarities in living so-so normal lives in their young years & dealing with bullying, but her being an ethnic woman puts her in a completely different space from Taylor.
Not only that but just her surrounding & the subculture that she’s into is different.
